Being on the east side of said tracks allows the venue to call itself Downtown Miami. Being west of said tracks would place it squarely in Overtown. Now, Overtown is not the sort of neighborhood you bring home for Christmas. It is, politely put, pure squalor. You thought New Orleans was bad, pre-Katrina? This is worse. It is on record as being one of the poorest neighborhoods in the United States. I am also terrified of it, having watched one too many episodes of The First 48, a reality show that tracks homicide detectives solving cases in the first forty-eight hours after the murder. Many of the episodes are filmed in Miami. In fact, one of the best episodes featured a body was found right on the railroad tracks. The guy had wandered in the wrong direction after leaving one of the strip clubs a little further to the south. Perhaps this explains the full police detail in front of the place, when our party showed up around midnight last Saturday." yea... overtown and ambs by herself do not mix. thankyouverymuch. i watch the first 48 too. if you watch that show, you stay far far away lol |

btw, this doesnt mean that this party wont be fire... cause it will be. I just wont be there for fear of ending up on the first 48 as a girl travelling to overtown by herself

Yea that place is located on the known Ice Palace ... Im I correct?!?!.. That place its creepy as heck. My first time going to a night party was to that Global Gathering party they did there a time ago... I tried looking for parking and all I saw was cars running away from a stampede of bums.. you thought Space bums were bad?!?!? lol ... maybe the place has changed a whole lot since the last time I stepped around those grounds ( 2001 or so ) .... anyways I expect some privately secure lot just 8 feet from the entrance ! .. but yeah its a very bad place to get lost ..

I wish you well but, do me a favor, and stop brainwashing other people with your fears!! Keep them to yourself, if you want to talk about negativity and fear, keep it to yourself. People don't want to hear this garbage, and what gives you the right to share it. and secondly, my dear, I really don't think anyone gives two shits about what you watch on TV and why you're afraid to go somewhere. Stay in you cave, and when you the news tells you it's safe, then go out Keep that garbage to yourself in the meantime |
