Sorry guys, I'm afraid making fun of that place is out of style now... this lineup is some serious shit....

They feel pressured by STUDIO, STEREO, and PACHA to book some talent. LOL.

To be honest, I've known guys who are really close with the Webster Hall management. Let me tell you something about them. They are laughing at those other venues you mentioned allllll the way to the bank. If there is one club in New York that consistently makes money, it is WH. Sure we hate on it, but every few years someone reinvents the space. This seems like the first REALLY serious attempt though. I know the guys behind all of this and will personally make sure these parties are a step up for the venue and the crowd, with as many suggestions and ideas as I can put in .

I'M FUCKING THERE FOR EDDIE.

Every person that I know that's been to WH has nothing but horrible things to say about the place.....so not even this line-up is enough to convince me to go. We will see how the new management's ideas reflect on peoples opinions in the near future......maybe if they are positive I will give the venue a chance.

Nobody said they dont make a profit, but lets be real. How many ppl will decide to check out Websterhall even with the addition of a few ppl in the lineups ?? It was def. the club to be at in say, 1995-1998 at least from ppl who used to go back in the day have told me. But I will say this, the number of girls to guys in that place is ridiculous. I got groped by at least 10 girls in there without even attempting to talk to them or try to dance with them. Shit like that would prob never happen at the more EDM catering clubs nowadays. Ahh, good ole days.

according to everyone, every club was the place to be 1995-1998 hahaha.... be honest to yourself, ARE there anymore good venues left anymore with lineups this good? Crobar sucks according to half this board, Pacha is too small according to the other half (I'm in this half)... something's gotta give, in my opinion... might as well support something trying to change all that, at least that's how i look at it... if it's a DJ you want to see, you shouldn't let past experiences stop you from going... if that were the case, 98% of us wouldnt ever be going out, think about it... i guess thats just me idealistic view, though

Noobies. ... Personally, I like Pacha minus the crowd. STEREO is where its at, except the need better lineups. Crobar/Studio will be good just cause of the fact its large and will book decent talent. But in all honestly, shit is wack nowadays so there isnt any one club that has it all. I guess its a combo of friends, DJ, and cost that makes it worth coming out to begin with whereas a few yrs back, it could be you alone in a club, paying $30 to hear a DJ kill it at lets say Arc for example and u had an awesome time and nothing would compare. The effort nowadays is just lacking to go out unless the Pros outweight the Cons.

I have had my fair share of horrible clubbing at Webster Hall when I was 17-18, enough to make me feel slightly nauseous every time I go to my friend's apartment which is across the street from WH, but didn't everyone say the place was at least tolerable, and part of the crowd actually into it hardcore, for Infected Mushroom last year?

If I'm still in the states May 19, I will be there... but only for IM because I was dumb and missed them last time. If IM is only gonna be booked at WH, well I guess the party isn't coming to me... so I might as well go to the party... I'll let you guys know how it goes. I'll wear impenetrable steel pants and a radiation mask...

HA! First time I was in ny I did that. Arc was mad fun. Did it many other times once i started living here. :P

I remember going there all the time by myself and meeting random people through out the nite. Its almost as if it didnt matter if I knew ppl, it was almost as if they knew me more given we had the same interests in the music and thats what counted really. An analogy would be to say clubs nowadays is more of a chore than it is a hobby. In both cases u end up doing it, yet in one, u wanted to do it because it interested you as opposed to doing it because u felt it was expected of you and u had to get it out of the way somehow. +1 I agree COMPLETELY about it being a chore rather than a hobby. Especially for those of us who can't afford more than 2 drinks in a club and don't do any other shit

no hard feelings haha just stating the obvious fact that if it's a DJ one wants to see, one should go see him.... think about the environment we are in when someone like Armin Van Buuren or PVD is here... crammed like sardines, getting drinks spilled on us, smelly FOBs in the corner and smellier juicers in the center trying to start a circle to no avail, overpriced drinks, more squishing and squeezing about... are there any trance parties that are eenjoyable anymore? aside from the smaller and sparse parties going on at Shelter and Sullivan Room, if the whole CHORE aspect was such a big factor in what parties we go to or not, i see no big-room as enjoyable anymore then

if WH revonated the main room and if they got rid of that strict 'no-sneakers' rule for which many ppl were turned away for ( ) then maybe i would consider it. that dress code policy is just retarded.

i haven't been there in about 3 - 4 years but they need to do more than renovate the main room. The staircases to the other rooms are too narrow and they smelled like piss, and from what i can remember the downstairs was absolutely wack. They also need to disassociate themselves with z100 or ktu or whatever radio station they let spin on the weekends.

I am tempted to go on april 21 to see lawrence and halliwell.

and for everyone who keeps bringing up arc, let us not forget Tenaglia spinning pre-arc at Vinyl on fri night/sat morning. Those were the days.

bri, it's a totally different story when u're there for a concert.. only people who wanna see those artists playing are there..the sound system from what i know aint nothin to write home about but let's hope that changed since it's been a while... but hey if you're deciding on boycotting the place based on principals regarding bad management and overall shadiness, then i totally agree with you there.

So the ratio of Girls to Guys is ridiculous. Superb, I�m coming to the states. When some of my mates went out to NY they went to Webster Hall one night and they said it as superb. Pretty expensive though. You guys must miss Twilo & Exit.
