DanceValley '07

Just wondering if anyone's going to DanceValley '07 this year and what their arrangements are...i.e. plane and party tickets, accommodations, etc.

I plan on going but would like to get an idea of what I should be looking for, where to get the best deals, etc.

Cale and I will be there...but we've never been, so we're in the same boat as you.

We're going for the entire month of July, so we're looking into renting an apartment for the month. We're buying our plans tickets next week.

Tickets for the party...you're best to ask Jenn, magikb. She's gonna help us out with that b/c I don't know where to get them.

Hey thanks for the info :-) Funny you mention magikb, I just sent her an email! Two months, that sounds like fun. I'd really love to do Ibiza in the same shot, but dunno if I can $$$$$ it.

Is there going to be a group of Toronto people going down? It's great you've booked ahead of time, I guess you get the best prices now if you book early.

My bf, a bunch of other people and magikb actually went to Amsterdam last year for DanceValley '06....but I've never been so I gotta do my research!

So far Cale & I are going alone, but Jenn, Nada, Ali and one of Jenn's friends are going to be going down for DV as well. There's talk of people coming down - but who knows if it'll happen or not.

We'll definitely all meet up

Anyhow, Nada, Ali, Phil and myself are renting an apartment for the 10 days we will be there. We will be meetinig up with Lisa and Cale, along with Paul and Kate. I believe that Haris and his gf are going as well and we will be meeting up with several of my friends that live in Holland.

The flight, depending on your dates can be anywhere from 1000-1600$.
I want to leave on the Wed. and come home on a Sunday so my flight as of right now is about 1400$ with KLM. You can fly Air Transat for cheaper but they only fly Mon, Wed and Friday's.

After last year, I wouldn't do anything but rent an apartment for the week or 2 that you are going. It is much cheaper than a hotel and it has EVERYTHING in it you will need. You can go buy groceries too. It will save you money with eating out all the time
Or go stay in a hostel (that is your cheapest way, unless you have friends there)

DV itself, tickets will go on sale sometime in March. It will only be for one day this year unlike the last 2 yrs. You can buy your tickets at www.ticketbox.nl. Once you select your tickets, there is an option to change it into english so you can read what they are asking you for.
If you are going to be there for DV and stay until after the 21st, you can also go to Extrema which will be held on the 21st and it is another outdoor festival like DV. I have heard nothing but great reviews about that event as well. I will be attending both

I am just waiting for an answer from Ali and then I am booking everything. My flight I will be booking within the next week probably. I am soooooo freakin stoked to be going back. Having been there the last 3 yrs, I couldn't imagine not going back this year.

we will be there from the 12th - 22nd.
I am just talking to Phil now and have to book my flight by the 23rd to get it for 1400$
As for the accommodations, I can hold off a week, no problem

Alrighty...I figured it's a big place and it's 2 bedroom. Plus there's lots of couches so I'm sure we could easily sleep 6 ppl - that is if all 6 of us sleep at the same time! But I want to ask her just to make sure it'd be alright with her. I'll keep you updated!!

nah, they will stay the same for the whole time.
The Extrema one I just bought as the earlybird ticket though.
I paid 53 Euro now, they are going up to 59 Euros I think.. not a big deal.

Now I just need to book my flight and accommodations I will worry about next week after I talk to you.

I know you are too pumped to think about the summer already, but I need to plan for that. I think I am just gonna book my flight right now too while I am doing everything
