Confused Out of gas in Collingwood?!?!? WTF

So my fucking brother called from North Bay tonight and says he heard on the news there was some accident with a tanker or something?

Anyways, there's now a fucking shortage of gas for our area for maybe as long as two weeks..?

My dad said he found the last gas station in Collingwood this afternoon that still had regular fuel for sale. And the line up for over ten cars deep (that just dont happen in Collingwood ).

Every other place only had premium (the most expensive one) for sale. Not even the middle grade one. WTF

I just went out an hour ago to check, and couldnt find ANY stations selling regular. 1 station had the middle grade still left. And we have about 10 gas stations in Collingwood.

Man, tomorrow I'll bet there's gonna be some crazy ass line ups at the pumps!

FACK. Glad I still got almost a full tank, 7/8ths.

Enough to make it to TO anyways this Saturday for Ultra Spin 12. Phew.

Many of the Esso stations here in Toronto are out of gas as well. Wasn't there a refinery fire or something that is causing a minor shortage?

Posted by Jem_hadar on Feb-21-2007 05:09:

Unsure.

Havent seen any news stories myself on it yet.

I saw the same 7 gas stations over two days at 91.5 - I now go check online and found some more, lol.

Yeah, the news said it was due to multiple factors and thats the reason why gas has been a little higher these past couple days...

It's at 92 in Windsor too. I was wondering why it jumped all of a sudden.

Posted by Platipus on Feb-21-2007 18:06:

Fire at the Refinery, but more importantly CN rail strike.. if CN was up and running, at least ESSO could get fuel from someone else!

Posted by Irishaddict on Feb-21-2007 19:26:

It went up in Hamilton too.

Definitely noticeable when you have to fill the whole tank.
