Above & Beyond with DJ Preach March 16th (St Paddys Day)

Armin van Buuren April 6th (Good Friday)

...

Markus Schulz was just there less than a week ago?

there's a lot going on, most promoters don't bother posting events here due to the number of calgary people who post here

if you're looking for info on calgary events it's best to check out www.electrocalgary.com in the events section

i just got tickets to see Armin at Tantra, we're going to see him in Vancouver as well so it should be good.

But i dont know how you go see someone like Armin at a club like Tantra. maybe im a little jaded but I saw tiesto in cancun at Daddy-O's and the place was friggin massive. Tantra is like a hole in the wall bar compared to that.

oh well should be good shows.

I've seen Armin in Koolhaus (in Toronto), Dragonfly (in Niagara) and Tantra lastly... from my experience, although Koolhaus is really massive and the lighting is really awesome, I found Tantra to be the most interactive, it is really an awesome feeling when you are right beside him while he is spinning. I liked it at Tantra the best, my only complaint is the lighting is nowhere near the level of Guvernment/Koolhaus but ya, if you're not a fan of really crowded areas, Tantra does suck.

Tantra isn't so bad. I like the circular layout of it. It could use a bigger dance floor though. The push in front of the stage for Armin in Dec was maaaad! Only jumping up and down space as the crowd crushed forward!

Edmonton is way cooler. I wish I lived there.

Calgary has the odd event which is decent. Edmonton has one like every week.

Yes while as you can see the majority of postings are from our good Vancouver friends, don't despair! There are alot of us from Calgary here, looking and reading, we just arent as vocal.

Those of you who think that Calgary has no vibe must not be going out anywhere. Calgary has some of the best local DJ's in the world that put their hearts into what they do every single week in venues all over the city. In addition we host shows with international Dj's every single week by some of the best and most successful promoters in Canada. If you judge a city only by the venue that AVB plays in and how often he and Tiesto stop by you have a very narrow outlook and should get out and really try what Calgary offers. (oh and btw Armin plays in Calgary really far too often) Those of you who insist on trash talking Calgary, please leave, we don't need your negativism.

Those of you who know the score, come and see me this Friday and we'll have a drink and laugh!
