What? I used my phone every second day in Poland/Slovakia/Amsterdam for about 10 minutes and my bill was 300$. How did u manage to get 1200$ lol. That royally sucks!

if you know u gonna need a cellphone in another country, just buy a shit ass cellphone downthere with pay and go... wayy cheaper than use ur regular one

thats what i was told on the day i was leaving
usually... when your bill goes over 300$, they block your phone and you need to talk to someone at fido

but since i was in mexico... the charges are delayed and they didnt know the ammount on the spot... so didnt charge me and let the account go...

when they got the bill from the mexican company... BAM

i wanted to cry

when you are on vacation you should be doing things that are more interesting than talking on your cell phone all day i dont even bring my cell phone when i come to canada.

canadian cell phones are by far the most expensive and biggest rip off that i have ever encountered in the world.

I got a bill for $300 from Rogers from when I was in LA last month. I didnt even use it much, but they charge friggin $0.95 per minute just for roaming charges...

What I usually do is just sign up for a long distance plan before I go away....its like an extra $10-20 (depending on the plan), and it saves you A LOT! Then you just cancel the LD plan the next month.

I did it online before I went to LA..but it didnt seem to work (did it online) and now I got screwed

but noooooo, had to be able to call the people u know and be like: ya man i am having a good time. WHy dont u just use a pay phone and buy a international long distance card? cost like 20$ and u can talk for like 10 hours!
