awww thats sad to hear, but if its due to U2 who doesnt wanna give permission to release the song, nu-nrg or JOC can do the same thing that PvD did with born slippy, he had the same problem i think and he finally released his remix under another name called born sloppy (pvd remix) i think that would work, i dont know, but hopefully it will be released cuz thats an amazing song! thank you guys for your help

lol pretty old now, i actually dont mind this especially considering i dont like alot of trance these days. it has been leaked, i think thats part of the problem.

I wondering about the same thing. They hold back way to many releases, espesially Nu-Nrg stuff.

Had the full Wav. for quite some time now. No reconstruction here. Overated BTW

Posted by THE_Chris on Mar-02-2007 16:33:

Far as I know there were only ever 3 or 4 copies of this out there. Where did you get a .wav from?

Nope, will NEVER be released. That's the trouble with remixing songs by big rock artists. Their egos are too fucking big to allow anybody to release an official remix of their precious originals...

this isn't ALWAYS the case, and I shouldn't rip on great artists like Bono, but most of them need to get off of their fucking high-horses and realize that remixes of their songs can sometimes improve on the original, promote the artist, and spread their sound to other fan-bases that otherwise would not have heard of them. Unfortunately, the very first point (that the remixes sometimes improve on the original) is precisely why they won't give anybody the rights for a remix to be released...

Totally agree. I heard the NuNrg Remix first and then did some research and found the original which i also liked. If there was no remix i probably would have never heard that song.

happy to have End Kiss and Light Future aiff

To my knowledge it's not U2 who are against the remix to be released, but their label who is very strict what gets out and what not. The U2 chaps like EDM remixes of their tracks in usual apart from some highly crappy efforts, just like Radiohead; they enjoy good remixes but their label rejects the majority of them.

In most cases with pop/rock groups, except for a) Coldplay who think they're too good for being remixed into dance music excluding a very very few officially accepted remixes; b) Depeche Mode's Martin Gore who tends to like some insanely bad remixes and rejects some divinely good ones; c) Alanis Morissette who dislikes about everything dance music related and a handful of others; it's always the label who in the end is against new unofficially produced remixes to be released.

Ehh no. The real PvD rework of Born Slippy.NUXX has never been released in any form. Only a reconstruction of a setrip mp3, mislabeled as Born Sloppy (Unreleased Paul van Dyk Mix), featured on an unofficial 2x12" release titled Paul van Dyk Remixes 1 (2x12"). Born Sloppy is a whole another thing.. it's a bootleg mashup of Elektronauts - Bumper (Plump DJs Remix) and Born Slippy.NUXX mashed up by Plump DJs.
