In case you're not aware, I am one of many promoters that is associated with the entertainment company, Wet Grooves / Carpe Noctrum. I know that when we decide to book a DJ in Dallas, the majority of the time, he/she will have a gig in Austin or Houston the night prior to or the night after their Dallas gig. I find it interesting to hear about the methods that other promoters used to promote that DJ's event been booked in Dallas. I then like to compare & see if there's anything that they're doing that can be done better or if that other group tried& the group I promote with has tried something like that or not. I can say that for the majority of the time, If I were to look at the quality, the amount, and the effort that W.S.P. puts into promoting an event & compare it with the quality, the amount, & the effort that another

If I owned an entertainment company that booked someone like Infected Mushroom, I would expect that the people I put in charge of promotions made sure that all of the advertising opportunities have been used. Throughout my years in the scene, I don't think any other company has done as good of a job as the dog who walked an unknown amount of miles on his own

You know what's strange? Blazen commented that he didn't temember seeing any threads creatyed to promote theted with the purpose of promoting this event. And I'm wondering how much effort was put into promoting this event considering a statement/question made by Blazen who pointed out & wondered why there was not a thread created in T.A. to create/spark interest in this event.

Seems like Binx and Wetgrooves are the only ones doing online promotion for this party that I've seen.

Okay binx. I'm gonna have to kinda disagree. Becareful who u say isn't doing a good job of promoting. Sean carnahan events are always huge in houston. You act like txta forums are the mecca to partys all over texas. Txta is only one of many forums to use as a medium.

And when ppl like u say stuff like that I always think what kind of person u are and what kinda person you are criticizing.

Sean is a respectable figure all around. N he has impacted the scene in houston dramatically. Just because some guy in some other city 300 miles away looks @ a txta forum and decides that the biggest promoter in houston isn't doing well all based on this forum( from what I kno) isn't a very educated opinion. Now if you don't I'm goin back to car shopping wit my uncle. (I'm on my sidekick)

O btw... The show was fucking huge. I don't have exact numbers but bar rio was packed.

Oh and carlos hope your alright bro.

Infected Mushroom would be packed to hell no matter who promoted the show.

But I don't think he was saying anything bad about Sean (i know you have manlove for him) He was just trying to point out how easy it would have been for someone to post a flyer on TXTA.

A flyer would have been nice, and while I know that sounds asinine because in my current position I'm not making it to any of these, I do feed this info onto other forums and flyers are more impacting than just words are.

I didnt even think my car anything that bad done to it until they declared in totaled yesterday. Apparently when the guy slammed into the back of me, it caused the chassis to bend and the car actually looks uneven now if you look at it from its side. Life is gonna suck for a while. He got arrested under intoxication and also had 2 warrants out for his arrest. I hope he dropped the soap a few times in jail.

Aww carlosi feel your pain. I totaled my car in dec. It was a total shock to find out that it was totaled. What kind of car did you have ? Hope u had full coverage. Incase that rat bastard doesnthave insurnce.

after i sold my car last year i got a good deal on a 1998 bmw 328i through my uncle who owns a european car dealer. had full coverage and yea he had insurance.
