150 classic cars found in warehouse welded shut for 15 years,
...and no one knows who owns it
Story
What if you bought a plot of land, and you find a treasure like this?

All the rest of the car pics here
Holy fuck! Wow...just wow. I have 2 classic cars in my garage...but I know whose they are! haha
I bet the guy who owned them is long since passed away, and he welded the warehouse shut on purpose. He probably wanted to leave them for whoever found them. Wow...seriously...wow.
Load status: Blown 7 times.
Holy motherfuck, a 356 Coupe, and I think I see an Elan and a Miura in there too.
LOTUS SEVEN YESSSSS
Cool!
this is awesome, my father would go nuts if he found something like this!
Amazing! Just wow....
*Paging Jeremy Clarkson*
holy shit..thats fucking rediculous!
Who's the lucky owner of the building?
Too lazy to click on the link
DATSUN Z !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
got jumper cables?
spechless .....
That's just whewwwwwwwwwww.
That white Porche is awesome. mmmm
The inside of the white 356 is pristine.
My favourites are the yellow Lotus 7, the white 356, there are a few BMW 2002's that I would make 1 good car out of the 3 or 4 busted ones...a few Alfa Giulietta Sprint's which I've always had a soft spot for. There's a Matra GT car (white, stuffed in the corner) in there too which would be only one of maybe 50 in existence now. The Lotus Elan Sprints would be awesome as well (I'm a Miata owner and the Elan was the spiritual predecessor to it).
The red coupe with plate EG 65 61 looks to be an Abarth predecessor to the Lancia Stratos (Abarth did the body for that car, and Fiat did the motor).
The original Mini Cooper's all look like they're in good shape. Their value won't be as high as one might expect since you could buy the full shell, and all the mechanical bits to goi with it up until the late 90's (this is to recreate an original style Cooper - Paddy Hopkirk style).
Most of the larger sedans seem too rusted and far gone to be even worth restoring.
I would still shit my pants if I were ever present for a discovery like this. I hate new cars, and only really love the old shit like this. I would be foolish enough to try to restore far more cars than was within my means.

Speaking of vintage cars in Portugal, there is an awesome car museum hidden away in the middle of nowhere - aka - Caramulo.

| The museum further exhibits to its visitors the greatest car, motorcycles and velocipedes collection existing in Portugal, covering 150 years of Engineering History. This collection shows an enormous variety of vehicles, from a 1899 Peugeot up to a 1998 456 M GT Ferrari. In the museum it is also possible to visit the art collection, with over 500 pieces from the Roman era up to Picasso era, as well as an exhibition of antique toys with more than 3.000 pieces, covering several epochs of toys. |

Link: http://www.museu-caramulo.net/automoveis.shtml They have some crazy stuff in there: - First model from Indian Motorcycle - 1899 Peugeot - 1931 Bugatti 35B - 1925 Model T - etc. I have a 30+ min video of when I went there (well over a decade ago) with detail on each car, I should youtube it or something. |
