2007.03.09 [SF] ***ALIBI*** Presents ~ MARK NORMAN ~ @ 1015

Alibi is BACK! This month as a follow up to the huge Kyau & Albert show last month, were bringing in Mark Norman, the Award Winning Dutch Duo from Tiestos Magik Music Label.
Mark Norman are the award winning Dutch production and DJ duo responsible for a series of high profile original productions and remixes. Dubbed by Tiesto as his hot prediction for the future, dance floor anthems such as Touchdown, Phantom Manor, Overkill, RUSH, and Mark Norman pres. Celine have assisted in their meteoric rise from hopefuls to fully fledged international artists in just a few years.

Signed to Black Hole Recordings on Tiestos own Magik Muzik label, original tracks such as Stream, which was featured on Tiestos DVD Another Day at the Office, and almost every release have also proved massively popular with the worlds leading DJs whilst Paul Oakenfold, BT, Tiesto, Turkish Pop star TARKAN and many more remain among the privileged artists to receive the Mark Norman remix touch.

NICE...Hey the back of the flyer has the image of Kyau & Albert. You can see them in the DJ Booth. Cool Pic... I like how ALIBI uses the pic from previous parties for the back of their flyers.

See only two rooms being used on this night. Smart move.

Dunno if I can make it just yet.

Dave

I wish I could make this! Have been meaning to see them live.
Anyword of them playing in So. Cal?

EDM415: Glad you like the flyer...I designed it! And you're right...that is KvA in the background.

AdictaAlTrance: I doubt Mark Norman will be playing in LA... They do play in Minneapolis the day after though.

Week and half left for this event!! Don't forget to sign up on the guestlist!!! www.alibisf.com

MN is on my 'to see' list, never heard a live set from them, but I do dig a lot of their productions, especially some of the vocal tracks they have done, they are really well put together imo. Colour My Eyes, was especially good, and I think their new track w/ Jes isn't too bad either.

I know most of you aren't really into the whole fake ID thing
But is this club very strict with IDs? Non-US that is...or would they ask for a passport?

Favorite Mark Norman Track **POLL**

What is YOUR favorite Mark Norman track?

My all time favorite was Mark Norman - Faith. I remember buying that record off ChemicalRecords.co.uk back when the site was black and yellow. I ended up selling it for $25.

I miss that tune. It had a really cool driving tech sound to it that Sander van Doorn does now.

Mark Norman - Faith

I have seen them check people's passports in the past, they always check my ID too. The place where they are more lax with ID's is Ruby Skye, I have gone in before with no ID.

How old are you?

i'll turn 21 next month, but I know they won't be back in a while...so yeah
I'm gonna give this a try.

Fav. track are Fading Ground & Teardrops, they remind me of the San Francisco drive all the way from TJ.

Seriously? Do you go there ALL THE TIME where they just recognize you? If not, must've been a mistake because I see people trying to get into RS busted all the time for using a fake or using like their sister's ID (I've seen this so many times there).

I dont go there that often, only when they have a good trance headliner. But I have gone in a few times with no ID check. Last time for B&J my friend went in with no ID check.

I never seen this happen at 1015, and I go there alot.

My fave Mark Norman track would have to be Phantom Manor. And One Moon Circling too!

Anyone know where I can find any recent mixes by these guys (Mark Norman)?
