Roxy to be demolished
I saw this mentioned on another board, and reported in the NY Daily News

March 10 will be its final day, but the club is being forcibly shuttered on the weekend of March 3 because of serving alcohol to underage patrons. "The State Liquor Authority is closing all clubs for one week that have had two or more underage drinking violations," longtime Saturday-night promoter John Blair said in an E-mail to loyalists yesterday. Blair wrote that the building is scheduled to be demolished within a couple of weeks of closing. |

That's sad. I only got to go once; and had a ex bf keep me in the chill room as he freaked out on certain "whole foods". What a disaster that night was.

nah but on the real this was prob one of my fav clubs ever
i went there first for a teen jam back in 99 i think and i had a good time then went when vicious had his residency i was there almost every week and i had a great time, good crowd, lots of girls good music
but when i saw tiesto there in 2002 it was my best night ever then saw pvd there a few times and i felt that was his best club he should have spun there last friday one last time to go out with bang
oh well i will deff miss it but life goes on 
Some of the most memorable PvD events went there. Oh, and some of the best public sekks too. Like one chick eatin' another one out on the speaker or guy getting a hummer right infront of dj booth while PvD is spinning. Good times. Good times. sad.

How come everybody freaked out at Roxy? The first and only time I went there my ex freaked out and the night was a disaster.....not to mention Armin sucked my left nut.

it wasn't necessarily my favorite club, but it was the first one i went to in nyc, and i've got some great memories from it. so... I am a little sad to hear this. RIP Roxy.
and uh... limelight becoming a minimall?? i did NOT hear that either. i'm so out of the loop. holy crap...

i guess its finally happening. sound system was great there... loved the huge dancefloor with very limited vip seating. definitely my favorite nyc club. good things just don't last..
it was good place, pvd @ roxy owned every single time!

Roxy's system was loud as hell for PVD events, even more so than Crobar this past weekend. It served its purpose for occasional events, DT vs Lawler TGE 2004 being one of the more memorable events. WOW, what a nite.

My first-ever club experience was PvD@ Roxy in Feb 2004. I feel bit sad that the club where I had been for the first time will be gone. Oh well. RIP Roxy
RIP ROXY -- the first venue I heard PVD and Tiesto from 2002 - 2005...by far the BEST (with the exception of PVD at ARC but cmon we all know that PWNED 
nad of course Summerstage 2004).
Tiesto at ROXY: 5/03
PVD at ROXY from memory: 11/02, 2/03, (missed out 4/18/03 
), 11/03, 2/27/04 (the night before Ferry at another club on 2/28/04), 11/04, 11/05...
godddamns -- is my MEMORY *almost* impeccable or WUT?!! i scare myself sometimes...rofl. even after EVERYTHING i put myself thru, hah. I met people at EVERY show during that time from all over ...and im still friends with them TODAY

awww, Roxy. so encompasses all my first trance memories. anyone know is it shut down totally already? cause i could do one more gay night just for the nostalgia factor. seriously, is it done done done?
One Venue that surely will be missed RIP Roxy =0(.
