Official TOTA Euro trip summer 2007 thread

Sooooooo who's going to Europe this summer?

I know there was a thread like this last year so I thought it would be good to start another one so we can all share our plans and itenararies. Those who have been there/done that feel free to share your advice (especially for those travelling on a budget).

I'll be doing a three week trip early July involving France-Spain-Ibiza and Poland.
Can't wait!

i'll prolly be goin again altho at this point i hav no idea where yet... i'm hoping to try something different. Creamfields Andaluc�a in Almer�a, Spain is one possibility as is Exit Festival in Novi Sad, Serbia..

my tip for the budget conscious?
- Sometimes it's cheaper to fly between countries on charter/discount airlines than it is to take the train. do some research and find a discount airline like Easyjet/RyanAir that specifically services the country you're in or are going too. A lot of countries have their own. Easyjet/RyanAir primarily services the UK.

I'm heading to the Uk and Spain again (in June) except this time I'm taking a friend of mine from Uni who's never been to either place. She's never hostelled it either, haha. It'll be good. Planning in the next few weeks or so. Was going to go to Cyprus again after that but 2 weeks in Cyprus only...meh...I'll save that for next year and stay for longer.

Nothing set in stone yet. Although, I've had very very tempting offers of Ibiza/Barcelona thrown at me. Would love to go mountain biking in the Pyrenees mountains. Spain keeps drawing me back over and over again. My fave country to travel by far and so far.

if all goes according to plan, i'll be over there for the month of august. most time will be spent in the UK, meeting the bfs family (ack) and whatnot..but if money allows its back to Ibiza!!!

Thailand and South India have been on my mind for awhile.

For me lately it's like it's always the Uk and Spain. Uk b/c I have relatives there and I have YET to go to a nightspot there, although I've been 3x. Spain because it's just so close and for obvious reasons Cyprus...I think next year it will be Cyprus then one of these years I'm going to Australia...relatives in Melbourne...

For those going to Ibiza I'd highy recommed taking the ferry to Formentura for the day, rent a cycle and search out one of the beautiful beaches. The best I've been on yet.

If someone wants a beach THAT's a beach. I'd check it out but I have no problem w the beach in Barca or Ayia Napa, as long as I have surf and turf...and beer...

I have a little favor to ask, what other events are there in Europe between June 15th and October 1st.
I know the big ones, Sensation White and Black, Dance Valley, Nature One and Mysteryland, Extrema and 10 days off but I bet there has to be more so please post them if you know they are happening every year and they are worth going to. Just dont post Ibiza cuase I know its a party 24/7 there in the summer
