*Review* Sander ****in' K @ Studio

ohhhhh yes, the man still deserves to be called SANDER FUCKIN K! i was a little worried that Sander might have an off night last night but minutes into his set those worries were gone with the wind. the boy was ON FIRE last night.

it should have been tough to top last friday but Sander threw down a set that had me going nuts all night. i barely left the dancefloor. it was just like old times! i danced right through my stockings and my feet are STILL killing me. he played Xpander and some old school tracks and lots of new stuff that I can't ID. i loved every minute of his set. he didn't lose me at all.

the sound was bumping and there was plenty of room to dance. got to hang with my buddies and couldn't stop smiling. there's a reason i made that cheesy shirt. i might be a dork but i don't make shirts for just ANY dj. lol

I CAN'T WAIT FOR MIAMI!! Thank you Sander!!

great seeing the usual and unusual suspects funfunfun!

def goood night

that xpander remix was phenoniminal. really wanna get the id on that. sander played some nice stuff, had his moments of some real dark sinister shit then would round up all the feel good tracks like xpander and just tear em to shreds. great seeing every1 out. im out of comission till march 16th for love. need to recouperate and have a long 2-3 week resting period hah. i think my minds lost at tylers with my soul in crobar. i think i might just have to stop by and pick them up

I'm sure he, as well as I, will be back to Studio for Hernan.

6.6

imo pretty boring set spec
after paul'set last week...

Great seeing all the usual suspects.. thx for the hookup Bree
I think Studio is an improvement over Crobar...
Great opening set by Cantrelle, ripped some sick tracks to open... from what I remember:
Grad - Piano99 (Micky Slim mix)
Aston Shuffle - Nethercutter
Marcella - Stabbing Sally (Audiojack mix)

Sander brought the dark heavy basslines last night. Sick remix of Xpander, and also anyone know that remix he spun of that old Pet Shop Boys - West End Girls. Fucking sick.

Bring on Sander at the Terrace

It was good to see you too! It's definitely been way too long... I swore off the clubs after a few nights in the summer that reminded me of the jersey shore. The lineup these days is too good to resist though.

You know it. I've only been listening to his metrodance sets in anticipation.

No, ure just not a Sander K head yet. His shit bores me to death. I saw him 3 times and couldnt get into his sets. Go listen to a 10 hr Danny Howells set and then say u cant get into house.

i tried that too, it didnt work for me either but i was told i didnt stay long enough and that Howells 10 hour sets have a long buildup, oh well guess I'll have to give Howells another shot and get there around the 7th hour.

Well even his sets have changed, especially since 2002-2004 at Arc. But if he feels like breaking it out, he definitely knows how to do it. Try and check him out at Pacha in April. He will be back in NYC that nite and there should be a good turnout.

if you want to hear the true Sander at his best AND often the greatest sets EVER, you have to see him on the terrace during WMC

if you want to hear real house music, go to Danny Tenaglia at 6 am. anywhere, any party, any city.

Posted by DirtyDave on Feb-26-2007 16:45:

Sander def still knows how to bring it!! He dropped progressive techy nastiness along with soem great mashups and a siiick mashup/rmx of Xpander!! I almost wet myself with that one!! It was a last minute decision to go in a get silly with everyone but Im glad I did. After that the weekend took a turn for the worse

Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding, Ding!!!

You are right 100%

You people need to drag your arses to DT B-Day Bash @ Studio on the 10th & to WMC on 22nd with DT & Victor Calderone with Chus & Ceballos & Michaelangelo @ Shelbourne Hotel Poolside. (this is the party I am looking forward to at WMC)

I hear ya. WE are def not house heads. haha. And there's nothing wrong with that! I never could get into Sander or DT. And regarding real house music I really did not enjoy the music when I saw DT @ Pacha a while back. oof.

I heard Tenaglia at 6am and it was straight up minimal and techno... so I dont agree with you on that one Bree or maybe it was just him at Pacha that night... I mean he dropped Hearthrob - Babycake or whatever the fuck that M_nus track is called... far from what I think of house...

And that's a good thing Mike. House is a great change of pace and can be a really really good time. But, you seem to like the melodic and fast paced as well as hard basslines that some Trance brings. Sander is amazing, but I can see where he can be a bit boring to you.

As much as I like many house DJ's, Trance still owns for me. I will always be a Trance head before a House head. No shame in that my man

you gotta know where to pick your battles.

DT is limetless with his work but when DT spins a House Music Party - its heavenly good!!!

EDIT: Lets STOP putting names like Sander K & DT in posts about house music because one plays true house and the other one just thinks he plays house. (electrobashin)

Guess what, I do. I know that one day Trance and I are gonna get married on top of a mountain, and there's going to be flutes playing and trombones and flowers and garlands of fresh herbs. And we will dance till the sun rises. And then our children will form a family band. And we will tour the countryside and you won't be invited.
