Thumbs up

Monica Kruz (Techno)

Posted by johnydelight on Nov-26-2000 02:57:

Hmm.. I think Sandra Collins pretty hot.

^--- 127 dB! Testing with posting images... maybe Tbass will enjoy 'em. Imagine pumpin' your favourite Mauro Picotto traxx while cruisin to a party.

Images taken at CES recently.

um, don't park that car in my neighborhood.

Posted by johnydelight on Nov-26-2000 05:37:

Lol, this is way offtopic, but here's a couple more anyway

I am so sorry. But you know it's all good when you get to play YOUR traxx on them.

Posted by BigLee on Nov-26-2000 07:30:

um, so where does the spare tire go?

Posted by DJ Guangzhou on Nov-26-2000 09:32:

Way to destroy a perfectly good topic....

Sandra Collins is the only female trance DJ who is famous (that I know). And she sucks. Therefore, women can not spin trance well. Hard House on the other hand...

Posted by skywarp on Nov-26-2000 09:53:

Guangzhou, you're a retard. If you've never seen a girl lay down awesome trance, you need to get out more. I'm not even going to comment on this 'coz my words would be wasted ...
You ppl have to realize that being good and being famous are NOT interchangeable ... good DJ aren't necessarily famous and famous DJs aren't necessarily good ...

peace

Hey Jonny, I like the pics, I see it all day though, but more is always good for my blood, anyway my car currently hits 150dbs, 145db constant, so just think about sitting in my car and pumping away trance, and my highs blend in with the bass, so it's pretty damn loud, I broke a stores window once just playing bass tones in front of it. Anyway back to the best female trance artist.

Exclamation

Hmm, 145 dB, huh? That would be like 4 times louder than 125 db.... Isn't that allmost impossible???

120 dB is twice as loud as 110 dB
130 dB is twice as loud as 120 dB
140 dB is four times louder than 120 dB

I dont know anny woman trance djs but my favorite female dj has to be Miss Djax she rules!!!!!!

Posted by TBass on Nov-27-2000 02:53:

DBs are measured different, in some frequencies some tones may seem louder but really isn't, like 150db at a 20hz tone, will probably kill you, but at 50hz, it wont. My car hits 150db @51hz.

well you guys were talking about car stereo systems...well a really good friend of mine attended the Y2K IASCA/IdBL World Finals in Oklahoma City and placed 2nd at hit 165.8 db here is the site for it you can check the pics out! http://afweb.net/carstereo/complete.htm

Posted by Synder on Nov-27-2000 17:24:

although she's not my favourite dj... Madam Zu is a farely well known female trance dj and she's pretty good.. .. I just thought I would shed light on this fact... for those who think there are no good female trance dj's ...

Posted by occrider on Nov-27-2000 18:28:

Isn't madam Zu a UK hard house dj? Well, regardless she's pretty decent. Has she done anything recentely? The only sets I can find off of her are from WEMF '99.

Posted by DJ Guangzhou on Nov-27-2000 22:51:

Wow skywarp. You really didn't pay attention to what I wrote. I understand that being famous doesn't mean you necessarily are good, in fact I gave you an example of someone famous who sucked (Collins). Also, no I have never experienced a good female trance dj. I am not saying they don't exist, I am just saying I have never come across one. i have however met many great d'n'b, hardhouse, house, etc. women djs. My post was a joke. Please do not insult me when I did nothing to warrant such a response.

Posted by Tripsy on Nov-28-2000 01:37:

Much deviation to such a simple question...

One of the best I've heard spin is probably DJ Emotion from Calgary, Canada. She's been able to tug at my heartstrings almost as well as some other big named djs, despite the fact that she herself, isn't near super-dj status. She's just really really good local talent. I'm sure you've heard of her Skywarp... we're from the same area. Any input?

Tripsy

Posted by Tripsy on Nov-28-2000 01:39:

But asides from DJ Emotion and regular trance djs, I'm also quite fond of Lisa Lashes, DJ Heaven, Ashley Casselle, and Anne Savage.

How about Sister Bliss, I know she produces but I've heard she djs as well.. what kind of music she spins I dunno, but she's an excellent producer...I think UK peeps probably know better cuz I heard she spins at Cream, but I dunno so tell us UK and Euro peepz..

here's a little something I found on the web about female djs... http://www.sistersf.com/mission.htm

Girl's still kick major ass!! I dunno I just read a recent Mixmag and it was saying how promoters were putting on special music so they can get more girls in their club, as a girl I was kinda offended cuz it's not like we can't appreciate decent tunez...

latez...

Posted by MIthrandir on Nov-28-2000 06:31:

Synder: Madam Zu will be spinning here at Quebec City for the new years eve .. I don't think anybody will record it but i will certainly go to the rave so I'll talk to you in january about her mixing skills Cya!

Cool

read thru all these replies (including the ones that have nothing to do with female dj's :P) and none of you have mentioned Storm.... just incase u didnt know, yes Storm is a lady...

other females that spin which rule:

Lisa Lashes
Anne Savage
Lisa Pin-up
Paul van Dyk (yes i know, he's really male, but can u tell whats under the make-up? :P)
and whatever the woman in faithles is called (i heard her play a wicked set in nottingham somewhere)

Posted by Jayk on Nov-28-2000 12:57:

Talking

Storm...Do you mean that storm who made hits like hurikhan or time to burn... I thought Mark Spoon is behind that Storm?

How about Lady Tom? Hits like "House of house" and "It's A Dream".
