lies in US politics over the last 20 years or so
I have a bit of an ackward question and please don't turn this into a debate.
I am trying to gather the most significant lies that have been said from all Us presidents throughout the last 20 years or so. Not looking at the gravity of the lie but something that made a clear mark on their time while they were in power.
So far I have thought of:
Bill Clinton - Lewinsky, Bush 9/11/Iraq

Clinton: "I tried to prevent Al Qaida before 9/11" as said in his recent interview on fox news (he never did and his administration ignored it since their first attack at wtc 1993 to the war declaration by al qaida in 1996)
I guess no one was inspired!
Amazing considering the constant anti-American sentiment to be found here

From the most recent, the lie of current Bush's administration about Anti-ballistic missle system they intended to install in Poland that its solely purpose is to intercept missles from N.Korea and Iran.
Another one again from the current Bush's administration, is that they support democratic governments and try to bring democracy everywhere, while keeping tight relations and supporting fully totalitarian regimes like Georgia, Kazahstan and etc...
