[Deep, Grooving, Uplifting House] Adam Vana pres. Groove Therapy Vol I

This mix is closest to what I sound like in a live setting, specifically a house party. I did this mix live the other night at a small party I threw at my house and forgot to record, so when I woke up the next afternoon I decided to have a go at it again. Changed a few things tracklist wise from when I played it mainly because I had segued right out of another guy's set.
What it ended up as I feel is a highly energetic yet deep, feel-good house party mix. I don't know if any of you heard my Music For Jungles Mix, but this one is considerably different and not as explicitly theme-obsessed. It's meant to be dramatic, and it's meant to be narrative. I hope it carries you away as you listen...but above all it's just two hours and a bit of corporal groove therapy.
Enjoy, and as always, comments/criticism are encouraged.

Will check this one out mate. I quite enjoyed your Music For Jungles mix, especially all the samples and little details Ableton allowed you to throw in. Just out of interest, was this done on decks or Ableton?
This version was done on ableton. I used my mixer and a korg kontrol 49 as a midi controller as a straight recording of the master channel, and then I did some mastering work on it to make it fill a room and really sing. The bass is really deep and the highs are screaming.
I originally did it on my cd decks the night before at a house party but didn't record it. The next morning I tried to do it again on the decks but couldn't get in the zone without the party atmosphere, the good friends, and the alcohol haha. So I opted to do it live in ableton. I prefer playing live with the decks though because I feel more attached to it but I love the sensitivity to the mix I can get with ableton in a studio setting. The tracklist was developed over time as more or less a set that I wanted to do in a local club..
I'll share a CD set probably with the month.
Tracklist looks really good
Will listen later
Thanks, happy listening. I'm swamped with work and planning a huge house party for friday but I will have a cue up soon as well.
wow, the tracklist looks tasty, will download it
I was curious if anyone had a chance to listen since I first posted it two weeks ago.
The tracklist is pretty dynamic - this is not a studio style mix by any means, there is no other intent here than to build up a vibe and and carry it up and out, pumping my style all the time - deep, bodily, dark, and melodic prog/tech/deep/tribal house. To any who have seen my mixes before you will see my penchant for eclecticism and and short attention span in full bloom here
If you're looking for two hours of X genre, don't expect it here - this is like an unfolding narrative
(one of my personal criticisms is that my tendency to mix over breakdowns results in ocassional muddiness when I get too excited.)
Again, this is how I play live - dramatically, dynamically, sensitively at some points and vicious at others, and that's what this set is all about. I think some of the mixing/placement is pretty energetic and clever and it will get you moving in your chair/maybe on your feet! If you listen I encourage comments regardless if you hated it, or even worse, didn't evoke any emotion whatsoever. I haven't focused my energy on this stuff as much as I have for myself - it's all about communicating with you guys...
The tracklist looks pretty decent but you're talking yourself up quite a bit..
That can definitely put some people off.
Just my 2 canadian cents... which are worth like... nothing.
dope tracks
thanks for keeping House alive!
Mr v! I have been belting the Quentin Harris mix of late!
AN, et al.: sorry about that. Truthfully this is all about the music and if I am talking like that it's just because I really love what I play. (and because I grew up around the advertising/graphic design industry
)
EDIT: I would love to have the Quentin Harris Remix but I am going to have to try to get the 12" because I can't find it digitally anywhere! Definitely a better mix than the Cosmic Ritual Dub, but both have their merits.

Point taken, sensible advice for sure.
