when is dave seaman's new GU going to be released?

i want this now!

or do we have to wait for the sasha one first..

Posted by Pointy on Apr-03-2002 01:54:

Patticus, the Dave Seaman GU is released on April 29th in Australia and the UK.. Then on May 7 i think it is, its released everywhere else in the world. And as for the Sasha GU, that's just a rumour and the set hasnt even been played out yet. Apparently Nick Warren is next in Iceland.. but who knows Hope that helps

Worm Popper Aussie Talent!

From inthemix.com.au:

In keeping with his philosophy about tapping into local talent, Dave Seaman has included several Aussie acts in the line-up for his forthcoming Global Underground 22 Melbourne release.

The first disc kicks off with the Slow Mix of Soliton Wave by Our House (a.k.a. Sean Quinn and Kasey Taylor), Intruder by Jono Fernandez, Digital Mind Control - Mindstate (Ivan Gough and Luke Chable) and Nubreeds Depth.

Disc two features two Infusion tracks - Legacy (Synthesia Dub Mix) and Starwater (Chicken Lips Rmx) alongside Lo-Step - Roots - Phil K and Luke Chable.

Woohoo!!!

thanks 'G's.... so i'll be looking for it on the net on the 30th.

and maybe buy it after.. depends.. heh. i bought his cape town, they should make enough money off that purchase for me to steal the next 8 or so lol

Posted by matt_a on Apr-03-2002 11:27:

According to the track listing what style is it? Is it trance or more progressive or house or what? Cause I've never heard any of the tracks. I hope it's as good as Cape Town!

Unhappy

not another Nick Warren GU...cant they find someone new???

Posted by Renegade on Apr-03-2002 14:58:

Well the set consisted almost entirely the trancey side of progressive music, so if the GU engineers remain faithful to the set (as they should) then be one of the more uplifting GU's of recent memory.

Which I guess is probably good for all the trance lovers on this board.

damn you know your stuff! i like that new WOW remix too, it sounds a lil' like domination (or maybe another track i cant remember) i just want a dub.. i havent heard of this ajare mix tho.. secret, and stealth.. well anything off Intensify album.. is sick.

and i agree wholeheartedly on lucien foort. damn what an EM he threw down.

re: Lucien.

yep..
saw him 2 times in sydey, 2 months apart [in a small club 400ppl] then @ Gatecrasher @ Olympic pk sydney...he blew me away both times.

hes got that special touch wen he hits the deks..
funky - chunky - phat - u name it! he plays it!!

other mentions who i think are highly worthy of a GU:
- Ashley Casselle
- Cass Cutbush [ cass n slide ]

For NuBreeed:

Most of GUs are prograssive
Hmm let me think !!
Dave seaman - Cape town
Paul oakie - New york
Those album have some trancey tracks !!

Posted by Pointy on Apr-06-2002 02:56:

Tranciest GU would probably be Dave Seaman's Beunos Aires (much more than his Cape Town)

I tell ya, Timo Maas on a NuBreed would be phat, same with Cass and Chris Cowie. Rowan Blades is more NuBreed than GU in my opinion. But i have to say, if Hybrid did a GU, my god that would be fecking AMAZING! I dunno if their style is exactly right for GU, but in my mind it is.
