Money closed?

It will be interesting to see how this club keeps afloat without selling liqour.

Obviously by collecting pledges in a pledge drive.

especially when they don't even have enough connections in the industry to get some DJs.

I heard they were selling boxes of chocolate covered almonds at $7.73 a box. Prizes such as gift certificates to cineplex odeon theatres and devil sticks will be awared to the top sellers on a monthly basis.

bar staff at an all ages is a joke.
they ask for a free cup of water rather than buying a bottle. if they can afford to dish out a few dollars for a bottle, they dont tip a single cent. install water fountains instead and a few vending machines with soda.

How much tip do you really deserve for opening a bottle of water?

here we go again on the tips discussion

i think its going to be a different name...not Money. It was called Purgatory when Money closed

Regarding the comment about DJs, this will be an all ages venue. You can imagine that we will not have the same budget as many popular 19+ venues might have. Therefore, we would prefer to hire up and coming DJs who are looking to build their resume and gain some exposure. That said, they do need experience with DJing (even if it's just playing at house parties... as long as you've got a promo CD).

Regarding security, no, experience does not mean males with over two hundred pounds. We will need female security as well (at least one). They must have some experience with crowd control and conflict management.

No, sorry, we don't need a "dick machine".

The bar staff will be selling juice, pop, redbull and water. Their wages will also be higher than a normal bartender would make, because we do realize that the tips won't be as much.

It was Money, then Purgatory... it will be opening with a different name.

that would be me! i have no interest in paying $4 for fuckin water. and if i was going to pay $4 for water, why would i leave a tip? 3.75 of that $4 should already be the tip...its too bad bartenders get paid so little to make it feel like such an obligation.

on the other hand so i don't look too cheap, i always believe in leaving a nice tip to a waiteress/waiter who did an excellent job becuase they actually did something for me.

but we DO get paid very badly. and i AM giving up every weekend, every party to work. and on top of that..if you don't tip, I'M paying YOU to drink, cuz i have to tip out on everything that goes thru my register.

Posted by djbruuen on Feb-27-2007 06:05:

^ its a shitty industry in that regard...however, all the retarded gino's trying to pick up girls by buying anyone drinking probably make up for it, throwing money around like nothing.

thats a stupid way of looking at it..so why not tip everyone that does something for you in excellent fashion

the point is that in the hospitality industry you tip plain and simple.
