POLL: Sketch weekends

This should have some interesting results...

How many days in an average month do you spend at home sketching out or hung over?

Posted by rabbitjoker on Feb-27-2007 15:55:

You forgot to include a zero option!

But I'll go with 1-2, even though I've had no fucking life this year!

You people wax poetic about being sketchy - but lets get one thing clear:

Being sketchy is not a good thing.
Being a sketchbag is not a good thing.

Professionals don't get sketchy. Period.

Wouldn't the "I don't do those things' option work for you then?

50% of TOTA content is about being sketchy, or sketchy related somehow.

when we first brought the word to TA, it was bad. it was always bad, and it will always be bad.

but some peeps think now it's cool. as if.

sketchy = bad.

what is needed is another word for when it's fun. oh, it should be call "being high".

Posted by zokissima on Feb-27-2007 16:31:

+1 to sketchyness not being cool. It's actually extremely unattractive, and loser-y. Get a fucking grip.

I believe what I said is that it can be fun sometimes...ie after coming home in the early morning, sitting on the couch with a coffee or juice, watching TV, doing laundry before bed.

Relax.

Wrong.
Professionals make sketchy look swanky.

No actually, that's how I feel about it. I think people who make it their business to be "sketchy" are fucking losers, period.

I'm talking about the people who act like complete gimps and braindead retards. I know plenty of people who can still function on a normal level after a night of partying/doing drugs. There's no reason to act like a heatbag druggie idiot. Fuck sakes.

Posted by DigDeep on Feb-27-2007 17:13:

LMAO @ all the sketchbags in this thread giving fellow sketchbags shit for actually admitting that they are/like being sketchy.

I see...we're arguing different ends of the same point here.

No problem at all with being a little sketched out and going for brekkie...

I think what we need here is clarification on the term "sketchy"
I understand that it has had, and does have to some people, a very serious and negative stigma. I believe the term has evolved a bit to encapsulate being a little rough the morning after.

Discuss.
