DVD burning media

For those of you that do alot of burning, which company have you had the least problems (if at all) with?

as far as disks, Ive never run into a problme with any.

right now I am on a spindle of sony dvdrs. no problems there.

I suggest you stick with Sony or Verbatim if you want no problems and a Samsung SATA burner works the since I have tried on 6 different mothyerboards and not single problem

Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden. More importantly though, look at the mediacode. I've been using Verbatim with Taiyo Yuden mediacode for a long time. Never had any problems. I suggest you have a read over here:

Which verbatim is made by Taiyo Yuden and is that one the good companys that make verbatim. Cause its odd how they use 5-7 companys to make there product.

My bad, I meant to say for CDR I use Verbatim with TY Atip. As for DVD media, have a look at TY's own DVD's (mediacode TYG02 or TYG03) which are quite expensive but if your data is your life, more than worth it. As for Verbatim, look for the ones with mediacode MCC03. Not TY, but very good. These are all -R. If you look at +R, then there are some Plextor media with TY mediacode, but haven't tested those myself.
What I'm trying to say is that you can't go wrong with Taiyo Yuden. They are on top with their media. Some more to read: http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=178622
Anyway, have a look at that link in my previous post. Anything from the "1ST CLASS MEDIA" should be more than fine.

+1 for TY.

Any of the big name brands are excellent, although my personal favourite is Verbatim.

I buy whatever is the cheapest. Once in a great while one goes bad, big deal. If this is happening on a regular basis I'd say its most likely your burner not the media is the problem.
