Australia to lose to South Africa in the Semi.
South Africa to beat Pakistan in the final.
Pakistan cricket to be a laughing stock by playing 2 drug cheats. - EDIT scrap that the two have been ruled out due to convenient injury (funnily neither of the two took PCB drug tests last week too).
Due to that, South Africa to beat New Zealand in the final. Shane Bond to be player of the tournament

England to do slightly better than the media expects, which means beating kenya & canada, but slightly worse than the fans think, which means not making it far.
West Indies or India to win. Don't ask me why, just a gut feeling.

. I guess we still have some traces of the english left in us since 1947
I'm starting to wonder if my NZ prediction was maybe a little ambitious after today's warm up results
Beaten by the Bangers by 2 wickets

Pakistan Vs West Indies tommorow first match of the 2007 world cup.
what do u guys think????? my moneys on pak for this one ..
west indies have huge expectance from the crowd. Pakistan lack a full bowling attack but have the ability to hit their way out if they field first & concede over 300. Will be interesting and I'm glad to get some action

29.1 van Bunge to Gibbs, SIX, Violence! Gibbs charged down the track and hoicked it over long on. 29.2 van Bunge to Gibbs, SIX, Murder! Floated on the leg and middle stump line and Gibbs sends it soaring over long-off. 29.3 van Bunge to Gibbs, SIX, Carnage! Flatter one this time but it makes no difference to Gibbs. He just stands there and delivers. This one also has been sucked over long off 29.4 van Bunge to Gibbs, SIX, Wah Wah! Low full toss and guess where this went Yep. A slap slog and it went over deep midwicket! He is going to go for 6 sixes in this over! 29.5 van Bunge to Gibbs, SIX, Short in length, on the off stump line and Gibbs rocks back and swat-pulls it over wide long off. SImply amazing. What a batsman. This is pure violence! 29.6 van Bunge to Gibbs, SIX, He has done it! One-day record. No one has hit six sixes in a row. GIbbs stands alone in that zone. And the minnow bashing continues! Full and outside off and bludgeoned over deep midwicket End of over 30 (36 runs) - South Africa 214/2 (RR: 7.13) |

Yeah, just been reading the live commentary of the Irish game and they did seem to be playing very well. Funny to see some of the emails being sent in, at the start of the Irish innings it was Irish fans bad mouthing Ed Joyce, and then at the end the Pakistan fans saying the CricInfo commentators should all be sacked
Likewise the Bangers did seem to be playing extremely well, 3 WC debutants and all teenagers all scored 50+, and also some of their bowlers like Mortaza.
Good to see Bangladesh and some of the Associates playing quite well, good on em. I reckon its great to see.
(And I did change my prediction to New Zealand when the drug cheats were ruled out of the Paki team)
