The "What are you fed up with / sick of?" Thread

With all the happy-go-lucky topics and ppl loving life threads lately, I thought I'd make a thread for those of us who do not currently feel that everything is going just as peachy as possible.

So, with what things are you fed up? What are you sick of? What has been pissing you off lately?

Here is a list of mine:

1) School: I have been working as hard as I possibly can since grade 9--i.e. 8 straight years--and I am burnt out.
2) My Phenomenology class(a sub-set of # 1): I hate this class PERIOD. It is a 3rd year course but it is basically an intro class b/c one will not encounter any ideas on phenomenology prior to taking this course. The texts are painfully difficult, often to the point of unintelligibility; and the professor does not do the greatest job of getting across the main ideas and focuses, instead, on complicated details.
3) Arguing with my mother: it never ends.
4) My avatar: sick of my goofy smile...will replace it after this weekend.
5) Relatively pointless threads like this one: self-explanatory.
6) Internet: My P.O.S Rogers Cable works only intermittently, the reliability is relatively non-existent; speeds suck.

*Waits for Chinamon's sarcastic reply

*Expected responses to this thread include: 1) "Are you on your rag?"/ "Is it that time of the month?"; 2) "Haven't gotten laid recently, eh?" and so on.

[/END complaining]....this annoys me too but it fits nicely here.

aww Nick, smile and the world will smile back at you

well for one it IS that time of the month and I've a slightly sore throat for 2 days now which is annoying because it's kind of there but not there.. what else? i'm really dreading the finals in a month or so

not getting many responses to my job hunting is also upsetting, since getting one as soon as I graduate will insure that I stay in Toronto longer..

the weather is also gross, so that doesn't help much

the only bright spot in the everyday greyness, is a certain wonderful person by my side

-living at home - just like you, arguing with parents never ends, i feel like i'm the only rational person living here
-school - i'm the worst student ever.
-being single - meh

I don't know...every time I smile I get a mouth full of crap that the world keeps spewing at me.

I was fed up with this assignment I'm working on about two weeks ago...which is making it even harder to get done. FUCK SAKES!

The weird thing is, this is the most work I'm going to have to do this semester, in fact once this is done I won't have ANY more papers to write...you'd think that would be enough to motivate me to just get this shit done...but NOPE!

GAHHH!

*bangs head off desk*

I preferred my existential phenomenology class (also 3rd yr). My prof actally had a practice in Ottawa (go GeeGees!), and was able to convey the topics through experience.

I hated profs who became profs who became profs right after they got their degree, without decent real-world experience (no offense to your brother 2famous4u).

Now we know who's been spreading that at US12.

2 weeks... dude, srsly, it's been way too long, go see a doc, since it's not good for the reat of your organs if it's bacterial.

yah, NOPE! Been there, done that (end of first year, end of april, one of my english courses)

Posted by Tordan on Mar-01-2007 18:29:

I'm fed up with my lack of motivation when it comes to work. It's not like I sit around all day doing nothing. I go through so much repetitive bullshit everyday that when it comes time for me to actually think up something new or work on something I haven't done before, I just don't have the will to do it and I end up procrastinating way too much. Sad thing is, I love my job and the people I work with and I don't want to change jobs but I'm pissed that I'm not at my full potential.

</rant> that felt better

This winter hasn't even been that bad but I'm sick of it. I'm sitting here in my office looking out the window wishing I was taking the ferry to centre island on a bright sunny day. The winter blues suck!
