Subtle presents Subtara - Maranjana 2007 (Original Mix) 320 Sample
Alright, this tune was the basis for all my productions since 2 years ago, it was also the most appreciated track of mine.
I saw it in DJ Tarkans December charts, thought it sounded outdated and decided to do a rework of it.
I also sended it to some labels, but.. frankly, i dont expect any reply, so I just gonna post it here, for anyone who wants it, cant be arsed to wait for those label responses.
Subtara - Maranjana 2007 (Original Mix)
Hope you enjoy.
Good track, mate. Lots of details that make the listening experience very enjoyable. My only gripe would be that the main string/pad/whatever you want to call it sounds a bit unclear, it doens't open up as much as I would have liked. I'd cut out some of the mid range frequencies or boost some of the higher ones.
Nice work overall. ![]()
Nice driving! A bit rough but I think that fits. Thanks for sharing!
Takere!

.

.
Kopi =o.
Thanks for the feedback. I did changes in every part of the track, except the lead sound and strings, couldnt be arsed
Thanks for listening.
hey mate, reviewing as i listen,
nice fading/laser fx in beginning.. nice congo's..
i think you should make the bass a bit louder
but thats just my opinion. i like the pads in the breakdown.. very energetic/uplifting.
very cool when the kick comes back in. its emotional but energetic at the same time.. good job
8/10.

Nice congas, track sounds good overall.
Only fault really is that the intro is a tad long.
hmmm...rough, edgy sound...I like that
nice fx, and the congas give it pretty good drive from the very beginning
nice FX too...
the bassline is nice but for my taste it could be a bit more prominent in the mix.
nice breakdown...those vocal like pads are pretty good
again it's building up nicely...the outro is quite well done too...
good production, nice melodies and nice breakdown...great job.
Check my new "Let it go" if you get the chance, thanks
Thanks for the comments.
My tracks will always have a long intro. I wish i could even make it longer.
I think this shows how much you progressed in the past two years.
This production is much better, crispier, much more mature.
I really liked the older version and this one is not that good artistically-wise but it's still great to see you progress.
Omer
rough and edgy indeed, really nice clean conga's/bongo's rythm!
track has a great drive
this was my favourite track from you since you uploaded it here two years ago!
the pads in the break were just awesome btw!
Sounds really good!
Thanks for the feedback
very much appreciated.
Something happened, so im replacing it with a sample instead.
Ok listening. Listening through this one time before I comment on the whole piece.
Pretty cool bassline and percs. Mixing is good. Melody is a bit boring though, I think you could develop this track a lot more by going outside a 4 chord repeat sequence, gets a bit repetetive and doesn't really stick out of the crowd.
Thanks for the comment.
I had originally a full 10 minute track put up.. but something happened so i replaced it by a sample, and it only samples the main part of the track which doesnt tell the whole story of the track..
I like to keep things simple, so i wouldnt try to put more melodic elements into it.. but i do agree.. i could have added more stuff to the melody though, but frankly, i suck at composing. :\
