A Melodic Trance Song

Hello! I really would like to read some comments about my melodic trance track. This is actually a pretty basic tune but some feedback about it wouldn't hurt me...

finished downloading and i've listened your track

i have to say it's very well produced! but on the other hand it needs some more variety (breakdowns, rhythmic twists,...) and sounds kinda basic because of that.
nice progression through the track though

good job, keep on improving the track

What can I say, nice song and especially great melodies in 1,09, 2,17 and 2,58. Actually mainlead reminds me a bit of Synaesthesia and that's not a bad thing necessarily . Basic structure is ok, well I could mention breaks and maybe bassline too as things you could improve. Just more that uplifiting feeling to break parts, basicly that means something massive backround sound. Now it's just the synth and snare roll , still that's an awesome sounding (hardware?) sawlead.

Quite long track considering it's a bit repetitive but that's a minor point. Overall very pleasant song with many great synths and melodies, a definite keeper .

Well, yeah... It just would be nicer to do a track that would be unique... But I think that's impossible, isn't it?

I totally agree that the breaks are lousy, heh... But I don't understand the bassline-comment... Could you be more specific? Is the bassline too loud or is it's rhythm lousy or what? More details, please...

I think it's fair to give 9 as a demo material and especially because the melodies. After all it's stupid to give 6 or 7 just because of some too loud/bad saunding clap, hihat or breaks. Those aren't so essential things at this point. Good that you are critical but this do sound great when you hear it first time .

Yeah, I agree. I didn't mean that I would rank some song 6 or 7 because of bad mixing or mastering (after all this is a DEMO forum)... But I would have ranked my song 7 or something because I don't think the melody or structure is so good... Maybe I'm too critical but I think that's just good when it comes to making music...

But again, I'm glad you liked my track.

i gotta agree with tilo, the mastering is very good. the sound quality is good too. don't really like the 'dream of you' sample, but i never like samples like that anyway (like in push - tranzy state of mind). the percussion is nice. bassline too. melody is ok.

overall the best part imho is the sound quality/mastering.. good work on that.

That surprises me... Usually that's the part, which isn't so good in my tracks... I'm glad that I've finally succeeded! Well, it took some time too...
