Ito + Star - Suodko Kid (Leftroom Limited)

The track has been getting rave reviews and picking up major props from
some of the biggest names including the likes of Josh Wink, Steve Lawler,
Sasha, Kiki, Laurent Garnier, Nic Fanciulli, Ewan Pearson, Lee Burridge, Oscar G and many more.....

MIXMAG - TUNE OF THE MONTH

ITO & STAR
SUDOKO KID (Leftroom Limited)

Stripped-back tech-house - too minimal for some but delighting plenty.

Leftroom is the label owned by Matt Tolfrey, the Nottingham-based DJ and
producer. For the second release on his spin off imprint Leftroom Limited
we get Ito & Star's 'Sudoko Kid'. There might not be that much going on
(and a lot of the effects sound like they were sampled from a Loony Toons
cartoon) but what it does, it does supremely well, making it easily the
record that i've had the most "mate, whats this tune?" enquiries about
from sweaty trainspotters this month. *****

THIS IS HUGE!!!! DON'T MISS OUT!!!!!!

Out now..

Sudoko Kid' is set to be the biggest release on Leftroom Limited to date. A highly effective and simple track causing mass hysteria with it's unbelievably long breakdown; championed by everyone, from Villalobos to our very own Hector. The remix comes in the capable hands of Alexi Delano and Xpansul (Plus 8, AFU). The original has been turned on its side, and is now a punchy and groovy techno master class with elements of the original weaving effortlessly through it. Suffice it to say that you've definitely heard this if you've been to a minimal techno party in the last few months. This record is also close to our hearts here at Phonica. One half of this production duo, Ophir Star, tragically died last month in Israel and this record has been released in memory of him. He was a talented individual who was just starting to get his music out there - this would've been his debut release. He had been recording in the studio with Hector for the past few months. He will be sorely missed by a
