Cell: txt vs calls
how often do you txt vs how often you call people instead?
i'd say 90% of my phone is for txt....the only time i talk on the phone really is when my gf gets back home from my house to see if she's alive and not dead.
txt msgs ROOL
I dunno, maybe 50-50 for me? Sometimes I'm just too lazy to hit a bunch of keys, so I just call. Then you don't have to message back and forth for like 10 mins too.
If I think it's going to be a more indepth discussion, or involve me having to explain something, I'll call. If it's just briefly letting someone know something 'will be at X in 50 minutes to meet you', 'running late be there soon' or whatever I'll just text.
I'd say probably 60/40 text/calls.

texts... calling cellphones seems sorta rude to me sometimes because you dont know what they are doing and you might interupt... lol
Some people seriously hate txts though... one friend wont respond to my texts any more, demanding that I call her instead.... fuck that! Texts let you say things that arnt worth a phone call.

definatly calls. i NEVER send text messages. imo it's stupid to press hundreds of times those buttons to write 2 sentences.
other that that i pay to send sms while i can call for free most of the time both fixed or mobile networks
I think it's kind of strange that we now consider calling people on the phone rude.
Anyway, it's cheaper for me to text than call most of the time but if it's a long discussion I'll still call.#
BTW, why does everyone not like using the predictive dictionary thing? Or is that just a Nokia thing?
Calls I hate texts and from relationships I've had in the past texting one another isn't healthy as words don't set the mood and can easily be misinterpreted.
I rarely text, but I just bought a smartphone (throw some d's on that bitch) with a slide out keyboard thing, so I'll probably be puttin that to good use.
i probably text more, i only call if i want an instant reply or that ive got a lot of credit on my phone.
I can't stand when people insist on texting instead of just talking on the phone. I once had a date with a girl and it was set up over a stream of text messages. It was starting to get annoying so I called and she didn't pick up. It's almost as bad as when people at work will send you an email to tell you something when they are sitting 3ft away from you.
It pisses me off so much when someone texts, "What's up?" to me. At this point I either call them back or dont respond at all.
The only time I favor texts are when I can't talk, like during a movie. I think its much easier to call.
texts>calls
i hate talking to most people, id much rather text them.
I usually call people. I only use text messages if I need to relay a quick message to somebody or vice versa. I don't like carrying on long conversations with text messages.
I use txt's to convey smaller amounts of information, otherwise I'll call. I hate calling to say, "I'll be home in a bit, going to the market first". What's the point honestly?
I never txt.
80-20 txt/calls, but then again I barely use my phone either
i txt more than call
I don't know how to use T9

I never call. Ever. I "reject" calls all the time. In fact, my voicemail says "I can't answer the phone right now, try sending a text."
Not having my phone proves to me that I text like a whore. I love texting my friends at random times just to say something that really isn't needed with a phone call. 3 of my closest friends and I are with the same provider so our texts were/are always free, other than that I'd only text to people who didn't mind getting them. I won't carry a conversation in texts, just a few times back and fourth.
i do about the same of each. i don't constantly yack on the phone and i only text if i can't talk, like when i'm at work, or if i'm around my mom or with people.
i think it's rude to talk on the phone when you're out doing something with someone else. i mean, i do it sometimes, but if i dont HAVE to talk to the person calling, and i'm with friends, i just won't answer. i'll just shoot them a text after they call, saying i'm out with friends and i'll call them later.
i've never been able to send texts w/ my phone. i can accept them, but have never been able to send them. regardless of the phone i have. [i'm on my 3rd phone in 4 years]. i have t-mobile. and my plan allows me to send texts [i have to pay like $.05 for each one or something]. but i think something is just wrong w/ my SIM card or something because even their support line didn't really know what to tell me after doing a lot of troubleshooting.
but i'm cool w/ it - because i'm not really a fan of the whole text concept. i mean, it's great for like one liner comments like, "hey, i'm here," or "beer tonight?" or something like that.
it drives me nuts tho, to see people having hour long conversations on txt. i mean, shit, just freakin' dial.
