Exclamation The Star Of World Cup 2002 ?

With the World cup looming, who do you think will be the player of the tournament ??

Personally I think Hernan Crespo Of Argentina will play a key part this year, I'm sorry if I've missed players off, just tell me in the 'others' bit

I think you're missing an impressive striker, Christian Vieri, not just because he's italian like me but 'cause he's one of the best (if not the best actually) in the world.

Thiery Henry as France repeats!!!

I sure have a hard time picturing Marcus Allbck beeing the star of the tournament... ...also hard picturing anyone voting for him.

Zidane always seem to rise to the occation in the national team, so he gets my vote...

omg ferrycorstenfan, you had time to much putting up such a list???
I think tristan.

David Beckham

O.K, so many ppl in ENGLAND will say he will be and many from outside ENGLAND will say he won't, but it's no only the quality in crosses and passes he produces, but his tight marking and his overall work rate which goes so much unnoticed! He probaly won't look the best, but he will do ENGLAND proud, and will give ENGLAND an ouside chance of the WORLD CUP!!!

Yes TTA, that's a MANCHESTER UNITED PLAYER i'm talking about!!!

Posted by Lytchix on Apr-05-2002 07:52:

Zidane! This player comes from Mars...

Posted by Shito on Apr-05-2002 10:42:

No he comes from France, and we have a lot of chance...!!!!
Zidane or Trezeguet, but anyway a french one!

i am a bit disappointed that Shinji Ono isn't in the list, this player is going to be a wordclass star and he's going to show it with his team from japan.

What about CROATIAN soccer players...

Posted by Dj O'Callaghan on Apr-07-2002 21:28:

I would of voted for and Irish player, Robbie Keane, and Roy Keane will play well in the tournament but I think Eire will only reach the second round or quarter finals their a mysterious team Eire, so I'm going on who I think will play through a lot of the tournament so I picked Totti because I follow Roma, and I know he is a creative and skillful midfielder the guy can make goals from nothing.

Owen looks impressive. It doesn't mean that England will win the cup.

Posted by Thierry on Apr-09-2002 04:31:

That is quite the list. Zizou has my vote (GO FRANCE). I'm surprised that Batistuta isn't up there. (Hate that long-haired bitch anywayz )

Posted by Ian on Apr-09-2002 07:10:

Batistuta isn't up simply cos he's not playing much for Roma and is well out of the international reckoning at the moment, he's behind Crespo, Saviola, Claudio Lopez etc
