i need a new soundcard, im looking at this one

could anyone tell me if that would be appropriate, i recorded something yesterday but the sound quality was garbage, so now i think i need to invest in a new one...thanks.
don't waste your time with that 7.1 creative sound blaster shit if all you are looking to do is some basic stereo recording and listening to stereo music. get one of these.
