Facebook question
Ok, if someone invites you to be their friend, and you decline, will they get a response notice saying you declined? Or will they never get any response at all?
Trying to avoid being blatantly mean here.
No response, if I remember correctly.
I asked a friend of mine about this some time ago. That's what they said.

Oh mah gosh is this a my space dilemma?
These websites have inner politics and etiquette now? It's a shit website that must be taken off the internet.
How is that being mean? You can't please everybody. You shouldn't feel obligated to be "nice" to someone, especially if you don't even like them. That's like, the epitome of fake. Do you want to be fake? I doubt it. Fuck her, you don't like her, you don't want to be friends with her...I'm sure she'll get over it.
She and I have known each other in person for a little over two years, and have had a very rocky relationship. I do not think highly of her, and she knows this, but she is trying to be civil. I respect that, and wish to extend the same courtesy, whether it be on a stupid online networking site or not.
is she hot?
They won't find out, but they could potentially notice that they're still not your friend. Which is the same result as if you just ignore it. So either way is the same result.
well your thing says ((((((HUGS FOR ALL)))))) so be a pussy and add her, then maybe even tell her it's nice to have found you on this site
Easy fix:
Friend me, I'll reject you, and then you'll know!
(or I'll just accept and you'll be my friend forever muahahahaha!)

| Originally posted by Theresa I totally would if it were so simple. She hangs out with 85% of the same people I hang out with, and someone I am VERY close to is in love with the girl, which means I have to deal with her regardless... and may mean she will be coming to my home in the future. She knows what I think of her; I have made it abundantly clear... why she is trying to befriend me on there, I couldn't tell you. Seems really stupid to me to be honest, but that's irrelevant. I just don't want to make things more awkward and problematic. |

I have no problem rejecting people. If I don't like you or don't know you. REJECTED, simple as that.
even if it doesnt send out a message saying you have rejected her, she is going to know after a week or so when she hasnt been added

| Originally posted by jennypie Again, just be straight up. You don't want to accept the invite, so don't. If it bothers you that much, or you're that concerned about whatever relationship you're trying to maintain, just bring it up in person next time you see her. "Hey, just wanted you to know that I have no problem having a civil relationship with you, but I feel that being Facebook "friends" is a but much. Kthnkxbye." |
