HELP A NON GERMAN with a GERMANY QUESTION

Friend of mine is going to berlin soon on a trip (can't remember if it is business or pleasure). He says there are 3 berlin airports.
Q.Which is the Main AIRPORT? and Q #2. Which american airline flies to berlin from southern california. I'd be greatful for any help given

1. I am not the expert, but from what i know, the most frequented Berlin Airport would be "Berlin - Tegel", but that might just be for intra-Germany flights..

the main airport of berlin is Berlin - Tegel (TLX)...you can get some info on berlin here, about the airports here and about the flight schedule here...in case you know some german you can try this schedule

i think you can't get directly from L.A. to Berlin...you probably have to go from LA --> Washington --> Berlin or LA --> London Heathrow --> Berlin

airlines: united airlines, british airways, lufthansa, delta airlines...
