This means gravitational pull will increase dramatically, though probably not entirely perceptible to humans, it will increase. Yes, the Mayans could predict the end of the world as we know it but not the end of the world as they knew it - brilliant calendar system.

My guess is right as they were working on 2013, Torquemada showed up and said, "uuuuuuh...soooo, the good news is you don't have to work on boring calendars anymore..."

I don't get it... Is there any point in time when there isn't a direct line between any two points anywhere in the universe?
