Mp3 players
seeing as im gonna be travelling for a few months im gonna need an mp3 player to take with me.
ive looked into them a bit but still am yet to decide which one to go for.
i wanna be able to store photos on it as well as use it to record mixes. there are so many out there i dont know which one will best suit me. im thinking something with 4 to 6gig space will be perfect.
any recommendations?
personally, i wont go with anything below 20G.
i would recommend the iRiver E10

dont know if any of them have line in anymore nikko
Sandisk Sansa 6gb and get the optional 2 GB microSD for expansion to 8.
One of the best on the market....been using mine whilst skiing, travelling etc. and no dramas. Only minor issue with most mp3 walkmans and travel is that you'll need a 240v charger....most rely on USB from your pc :\
I took a powered usb hub....sorted
Check this link
thanks for that
remember i do wanna use it for recording so line-in is needed.
ive had a look at the ones u mentioned and also the iriver hd20
ah ok in that case scratch the sandisk dude
iriver's I believe still have a line in and some of the creative one's also....google is your friend.
havent decided yet but the front runner is the iriver h320.

now some sort of charger is needed lol
you will definately need one if your doing a contiki tour
i picked up a creative zen
able to store movies, photos and music... great little thing
Are their any decent sized mp3 players that don't require your to use software or convert to some protected format?
nikko regarding a charger....if they don't have one as an accessory for the player, just go to a pc store and buy a USB hub that has a power adaptor...that way, you plug it into the wall, it has power, then plug your device into it, it will think its plugged into the pc to charge....easiest fix if you struggle to find a travel type charger for any said player
good luck! let me know if you need a hand with this before you leave.

Looks like the Belkin Voice adapter has a line-in jack - meaning that you could record a mix into an ipod this way Niko. I'd do a little more research first (i just googled)
