Best Psytrance DJ's?

I like most types of electronic music (especially Trance) and I kinda got into infected mushrooms a while back. I was wondering if anyone knows of any other good Psytrance artists? Btw some of the stuff in the post tracks section is pretty good.

as dj's who primarily dj, kristian & john 00 fleming. Plus Ste from ukta Most of the others are better seen doing live acts than dj sets and when they do dj, tend to play a lot of their own things all the time .

for anything psy you're better off asking at a forum like isratrance, this forum is traditionally much more focused on epic dutch trance and associated styles, while theirs is almost exclusively psy listeners.

not that i care, both kinds of trance suck.

Psytrance is truly alot different that most other genres of EDM.

As for dj's... There's far too many that are truly awesome. Most play regionally and network amongst themselves for outside bookings. Psytrance dj's tend to be a bit more underground unless they're producing or involved with a psytrance live act. Even then, psytrance dj's often spin under psuedonames and produce under another. But some recommendations for some US psytrance dj's: Hidroponik, Mubali, Nick Synergy, Shadowvex, Feather, Dragon, Meghan, Semblance, Michael Liu, Misstress Jade. Oh, and a shameless plug for yours truly.

Now, as far as live acts are concerned you can definitely check out acts like Infected Mushroom or Astral Projection. But psytrance has a very distinct and diverse sounds and plenty of artists to choose from. The best thing to do is listen to these dj's sets. Most psytrance dj's are pretty good at posting up their tracklists. If not, just let them know what you like. Then ask.

Somebody mentioned John "00" Flemming. While he's an excellent dj and remixer with psy influences. He IS NOT a psytrance dj. Many progressive dj's implement psytrance into their sets. Same goes with many artists that use psy elements in their music. Psytrance has suddenly become incredibly popular and many have adopted these sounds into their own. Meanwhile many psytrance artists are using this explosion in popularity to crossover to more progressive sounds.

I mentioned John, because he is playing more & more psy tunes in his sets. Sure he isn't a psytrance dj in the strictest form, but he's a trance dj who's always had a love of psy. If that's criminal then sue me, but you could send people down much worse tracks, like I was for example recommended before I was able to find stuff I liked more.

I didn't mean that at all. In fact, I love his work. While I deal primarily with psytrance now, I used to be a progressive trancer. So I'm all for it and love his sound. The question asked for PSYTRANCE DJ'S and I just don't consider J00F a psytrance dj. He's a progressive dj that is into psy.

No crime in that, but classifying him as a "psy dj" is incorrect.

Me

Just kidding.

Really I can't think of any psytrance djs as most of the time the group or person is just a live act.
