Tacky?
was just browsing through a friend's myspace page and noticed she has on a necklace of mine in a picture. i've been looking for that necklace for months! it goes to a set i have with a matching braclet and earings.
also, the night i let her borrow that, i also let her borrow a pair of denim capris. they are actually really cool and i spent almost $100 on them.
we kept dicking around in getting each other our stuff back (she forgot some stuff at my apt. that night) and she asked me if she could please have those shorts...they fit her perfectly, bla bla bla. she would buy them off me. now, because i spent a lot on them and only had them about a month, i told her to throw me some money towards them. the only reason i was giving into this was because i was really skinny back then and i wasn't crazy with how i looked in them, but i really liked them.
but now i put some weight on, and i bet they will look so hot. should i tell her i want them back? she never gave me the money for them and she never returned my necklace...she drove to my place and picked up her stuff when i wasn't home, because i left them in a bag for her. so basically she got her stuff back, and i never got mine.
this is gay, i know, but i dunno what to do. i really want those shorts back. would u guys ask for them back?
Course you should, silly thread, it's yours and unless you have to crawl through razorwire and pitbulls, just go get it woman!
i was hoping u would respond. this is a girl thread only. lol
k i'm gonna write her now.
its things like this that make me glad i don't have many female friends.
i'd be pissed! tell her you want the shorts AND necklace back.

Just ask her if you can borrow them and then never give them back.
I'm surprised you even had to ask, you don't seem the type of chick to let people get away with shit like that.
Borrow some rabid dogs and camp out on her doorstep

I'm kind of lucky 99% of what I wear won't fit anyone I know, doesn't stop them from trying occasionally and leaving the place like a bomb hit...
The jewellery always stays under lock and key, way too expensive to keep replacing bits of it and most of it has a has huge sentimental value, so it is literally irreplaceable.

| Originally posted by Slylee because it was so long ago. this was like last november. lol wasn't sure if i should just let it go. after all, it's just a friggin pair of shorts. the necklace, i wasn't asking about that. i was for sure telling her i want it back, but i wasn't sure if i should be an "indian giver" about the shorts, even though she never paid for them like we agreed, that's all |
I'd say just talk to her about it, and if she wont give them back just buy another pair. She probably just forgot about it, because if she's a real friend to you hopefully she wouldnt try to steal anything.
i told her the truth...that i reluctantly gave them to her only because i didn't like how i looked in them, but now i've put on more weight and i want them back.
i'll hunt that bitch down if she doesn't give them back. lol nah i'm just playin, i'm sure it's not going to be a problem. she's had her fun with them, now she can return them.

hahahaha
straight up ask her for your necklace back.
and while you're doing that, say something along the lines of "hey do you still have those shorts i gave you? i have a [party/date/whatever] coming up and i just bought a shirt that would look GREAT with them."
and just never give them back. and don't let her borrow any more shit.
For christ sake, don't even ask. Just tell her you're coming for your stuff and ask when a convenient time to do that would be. Really you've done her a favour here, so she should make the effort and come to you instead - but I can understand you just want to get your stuff back without any complications.
If she sounds in anyway put out by any of this then put your 'hoish' shoe heel through the side of her face.
Nah, that would suck to be her especially if she didn't remember.
i was nice in the email, but yea, i was kind of stern too, don't worry
i didn't ask her permission. i was like, "yea, sorry to be tacky, but i definitely want those back, so let me know when we can meet up, or i can just drive to your place"
i also mentioned that "we" never arranged for her to pay me for them, which was the original plan. i didn't want to place all blame on her, and give her a bad taste, so i took some blame too and just acted like it was partiall my fault.
it was a slick letter.
Stupid ****.
that is all.
