Ableton Live 5 - Difference between Lite and Full Version?
In Ableton Live 5 - what is the difference between Lite and Full Version. Because all I really need it for is to be able to mix tracks in the Arrangement Mode and use the equalizers.
You can't save with the Demo version.
The lite version is not the demo version. The lite version comes with hardware usually, like midi controllers from M-Audio, etc.
The lite version limits you to a certain number of tracks (4 I think?). It also doesn't come with all the effects units as far as I know. It will at least let you get an idea of how it works, etc.
Some of the lite versions are based off older versions.
In any case, if you get the lite version with hardware, you can use the serial number to upgrade to the full version for a decent discount. ($249 versus $499!)
