UNLESS YOU'RE IN THE UK!!!!!

BST in 2007
Throughout the winter months we will be using Coordinated Universal Time (almost identical to Greenwich Mean Time or GMT). At 1.00 am on 25 March 2007 civil time will return to BST and the clocks will move forward by an hour.

ROFL so true!

and the whole time change thing should be ditched. once the time changes forward 1hr we should stay there PERMANENTLY!

agreed on the 2nd point. It's been put to the government this year that we go forward 2 hours for summer & back 1 for winter, meaning what is now summer time would be winter time. This would lead to less electricity being used at nights due to them being lighter and so forth. I personally like the idea, I'd take light evenings over light mornings forever.

i like dark nights but i like it to get dark at around 9pm not 5pm so that you can do things outdoors longer.

precisely. Not sure about where you are but we're dark by 4pm some winter days, that's not a day at all. I went to spain to a neighbouring island to ibiza 15 months ago in december & the extra daylight was extraordinary in comparison, I could still be kicking my football along the beach at 5pm for example.

im in california so GMT -8. since its getting summerish its slowly getting dark later but yeah we had some days it would be dark by 5pm and black by 530.

I think that's actually good, like in math a negative * negative = a positive or something.

The whole change in hours is down to farmers anyway so it's still light when they go to the fields in the winter. I live in an Urban area so I agree time change should be ditched, after all the country bumpkins can use torches and spotlights etc. Why should we suffer miserable dark winter mornings and going home from work it's pitch black?

I wonder why North Americans change their clocks back at 2am?

Well perhaps we should work less hours in the winter. All I know is for me it's a chore to get up at 7 be in work for 8 and it feels like it's midnight.

yeah its for the farmers but what i dont get is why the fuck its still practiced. back in the day they didnt have huge lights on their tractors. now they can harvest 24/7 if they wanted to.
