Just broke my toaster

My toaster is really shit. The bread doesn't fit, so a little bit pokes out of the top. This basically means that about half way through I have to pull it out and turn it around so that both ends get cooked.

However, this time I left it to long, and as I pulled out the toast, turned it around, and dropped it back in, the eject kicked in. So as the spring came up, my toast hit it on the way down. There was a blue spark underneath and now the fucking thing won't work. I eat about 8 slices of toast a day, what the fuck am I gonna do now? Buy a new one I suppose.

RJT, if you're reading - I'm fucking brewin.

You must be eating some mighty thick slices of bread if they're strong enough to damage the springs in your toaster.

Stick a fork in it and try to analyze the problem.

I bet it's Lupus.

Bagels might do that. Get a bagel toaster next time.

Contrary to popular belief, it seems you did not disappear off the face of the Earth.

Thats popular belief? Oh man... thats upsetting.

Yea Hovis Thick Cut as it happens. Like I said, the toaster was a piece of shit. Really feeble and gash and destined to break. I bought it because I broke my last one. Funnily enough, it was after I stuck a knife in it to try and fish out a piece of bread that had lodged itself under the heating element. I'm clever I am.

By popular belief I mean "what I thought".

Yes! THAT is what we have and it works perfect for everything. Bagels, English Muffins, Texas toast, thin slices, crumpets.

Ask your mom. Moms are usually down to get their kids kitchen appliances.

Not happy about this at all. Robert, care to buy me a new one?

I may just do that. I am curious what this bagel shit is though? If a toaster is big enough for a bagel, wouldn't it be too wide to put bread inside? Like a toothpick in a volcano.

No.

The actual burners adjust to anything you put in.

You just said you use thick bread anyway.

A properly sliced bagel is about 1.5cm in thickness. I assume your toast to be between 1 and 1.2cm...so thats not much a difference.

Considering I'm one of the gluttonous bourgeois you so vehemently detest, buying a fancy toaster and shipping it to the UK would seem perfectly fitting.

Consider yourself the owner of a new toaster. :
