quick swsx question/info

ok guys/gals
need some quick help

i was planing to go to SWSX to see some bands i've been dying to see,

ZOE is supposed to be playing at the Opal Divine's Freehouse on the 14, but the show is only for an hour.

they are supposed to be in Austin on the 15 as well, as part of Gibson Showcase but i can't seem to find any info on this show at all.

Does anyone in Austin know anything about a Gibson Showcase...?

if not, i'll just be heading over there on the 14.
how does one go about getting tickets.
anyone with some insight will be greatly appreciated.

THANX!!!!

SXSW is officially sold out. If you're lucky, you'll find tickets around $950. Ouch!

Why don't you catch RHCP and Barkley in S.A this weekend?

are you sure they are sold out. at last time i checked with some insiders they were worried that this year was going to suck because they had only sold 4k wristbands. that was only last week..i know normally they do about 50k.

I believe the walk up rate for badges is $600. I think you can buy them at the Austin Civic Center. I'd call to check upon availability.

ok, so how does this whole swsx work
you buy a wristband and that gives you permission to attend any show you want. i thought that while a film festival was in play, a lot of bands did a couple of gigs in Austin, and you payed for whatever performance you wanted to see.

wristabands are different from badges. badges get you into the convention center to check out all the shit they ahve records labels and seminars. the Movies, and art stuff as well.. the wristband is for the club nights and officail sponsored SXSW shows. wristbands are cheaper i beleive and still go for somewhere around 200-400$ or you can jsut wait and get into each show at the door. SXSW is VERY GREEDY and WILL NOT turn away money.. although some shows are very expensive to see usally costing about 20$ a show. but if youa re only going to go to a few 60$ is better than $200 and AEF is NOT included in th e wrist band price.

peace
Dustin
