Hello! CS Condition Zero

This looks amazing. I havent had much time to reed into it so im not sure if it installs over CS1.3 or if it is just a half life mod

here is the link to the offical page Condition Zero

Condition zero is a single player stand alone version of Cs. It is more like Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3, than Counter-strike, you go around..trying to beat the same missions..but differently, like beat the mission without reloading..or maybe with only pisols, but it still looks pretty fun.

I am interested, if the AI is good, it might REALLY rock.. otherwise, it is just back to CS

CS:CZ is a totally different game to counterstrike the hl mod. It is not installed over the top, and has nothing to do with the makers of the original CS.

Valve are making Condition Zero (the makers of the Half-life engine), but not the original modellers so the game will not be compatible with the version we all use on the net. As far as I am aware, peops will have to all buy the CS:CZ regardless of whether you own Half-Life or Counter-Strike at the moment. It does, however, come with a multiplayer feature, which I'm guessing will be pretty similar to the original Counter-Strike.

Just to let y'alls know, CS1.4 is out soon, and looks wicked!! You can play-test the BETA here;

If i install the 1.4 then i loose being able to play on the 1.3 servers i will just stick to 1.3 for this now. Do u have any idea when the 1.4 will be needed for all servers ?

Due to the fact that CS1.4 is a beta, you have to download a separate program called "Stream".

It doesn't overwrite any of the 1.3 data, and you can still play counter-strike normally

you need cable or at least some broadband for steam though...

and Condition Zero IS compatible with CS .. when u start a multiplayer game of CZ it's just normal CS, but there will be different features and stuff.

mostly to do with graphics/engine type stuff i believe....

[rant]steam is kinda like windowsupdate.. yet another way to waste precious bandwitdh instead of saving stuff locally.. from what i understand, each time you re-install, you will have to re-download a ton of stuff.. [/rant]
