To go see Armin Van Buuren on Thurs at Zen (Trinidad)?

The question is:

To see Armin Van Buuren at Zen nightclub in Trinidad?
The club is pretty - but with a very strict dress code (high heels! it's going to suck to dance in them).
so yes? or no?

I wonder if E is big in Trinidad lol, and how much it would cost, since the market is more into marijuana

Hey Lynn,

Wow, I can't believe that Zen has the $ to bring Armin in. You should go, if for no other reason than after this they might only be able to afford locals!

Let me know how it all turns out.

Definitely go...Please take some pics and share with us. I'm really curious and interested in knowing what the vibe and atmosphere is like for an EDM event in the Caribbean.

lynn, you should totally do it!

and you can wear flat shoes, you don't need heels.

Unfortunately, I could not make the Armin show due to having to be out on the field from 6 am to deal with some cattle and sheep (I am in veterinary school - so that's normal).
I am hoping that next time there is such an event - I can make it out. I am looking forward to seeing some of the local trance and prog dj's spin.

^^^ Awww, that's a shame! Hopefully they will have some more good djs passing through soon and you can catch them then.

Are you kidding me? They REQUIRE women to wear high heels specifically? You can't even wear nice dress shoes that are flat?

oh its CRAZY over in the T&T!

have two friends from there in uni... and Kahn would always tel me about Trinidad... made me SO WANNA Go.

was telling me about some club that the floor was made of think glass or something... you could look thru the floor to the water beneath! bc the club extended out over water!

how fucking cool is that!

I have been to this club several times and as brown-skinned girl, you need to dress it up! Once I wore on a pair of nice sandals with a slight heel and was told that next time - I must wear high heels. One problem I have with this place is that when you get inside there are lighter skined girls in sweats and slippers.

There are a few good clubs in T&T and yes there is one on the beach front - and part of the club does extend over the water, so it is nice to see the fishes swiming right below you.

Yet it is nice to see a EDM scence finally growing in this country, considering that soca, dub, dancehall and reggae are the main stream here.

Wow. I can't believe that they not only require high heels in the dress code, but that they require you to dress nicer due to your skin colour. I don't care how amazing the clubs are there - I don't think that's right. First of all, there are nice dress shoes that girls can wear that don't have heels (I for one never wear heels as I can't walk, let alone dance in them). And second of all, that's just so wrong of them to do that b/c of your skin colour.

In trinidad there are alot of mix races.. including brown mixed with black, as well as asian etc... I think the club probably wants to avoid letting in locals that won't spend money... as horrid as it sounds.
