Have you written a major paper or presentation under the influence?

Ok so I was really bombed last night (I'm still feeling boozed right meow) and I wrote my french paper/prsentation (well most of it) under the influence and just finished it up now and personally I think it's one of the best papers I've ever done - I have to present it in less than 30 minutes now so we'll see how I do!

I've also written a philosophy paper while really high and got 95% on it.

Coincidence? Or does being not sober give us magic educational abilities...

Post your stories and what you think of writing under the influence? Helps or doesnt help??

some amazing writers are alcoholics or druggies

Usually when i have to write too many essays and Im braindead I start drinkin and writing and I never really get less than a B+ on essays

i lived with a girl who smoked weed everyday and before every paper she ever wrote and she graduated with an 88% average in english, which is fucking hard to do.

haven't tried it personally. but a glass of red wine before a paper always seems to help

umm i cant really write when im stoned, I get soo A.D.D. but I remember first year I used to pull allniters before my exams wit a bunch of 4year guys....theyd blaze every like 2 hours, it really helped them study better :S

I blazed before my pathetic attempt to continue on with my paper Saturday night...

It was really hard (like I was typing in slow motion) and I did end up passing out for a couple of hours...

I woke up refreshed...and wrote pure gold for the next six hours after...



weed = stress reliever

yea smoking up and doing homework is great. really gets the creativity going. i don't do it anymore though as i'm taking a break from all the weed.

i wrote a paper one night and it needed editing but it was a friends bday. so i went out got sloshed and came back after the bar and edited it. i didnt do too well on it but it was only worth 10 %.

I did a final group presentation in front of the whole class still rolling face from the night before. Sasha & Digweed's Delta Heavy Tour in LA, no way in fuck was I missing that.

It once took me about 10 whole minutes to write two lines out on a piece of paper while I was in the clouds.....so I would never be able, while blitzed, to put together the 15-25pg typed essays I routinely write.

But either way, I swear off weed during the semester: having energy and a fully functioning brain is key to school for me ....the summer is a different story.

i've tried writing papers/assignments and exams high but most of those attempts ended up near the fridge and with non satisfying grades

Works for some people though. My buddy wrote a major paper yesterday after he blazed .3 of hash in afternoon yesterday. He called today and said that its probably the best paper he ever wrote LOL.

The closest I've gotten was "I'm sooooooo high"

I've got a bottle of "Concerta" It's for ADD, longer lasting then Ritalin approx 12hours.. (it's prescribed =P) But holy smokes does it work if you want to focus and get things done especially reading txt books, writing research papers etc..

Maybe weed helps with courses that exercise the left half of your brain, but it definitely doens't help me exercise the right part of my brain (for science courses). I just can't concentrate or work hard when I'm high. That, and my code comes out to be atrocious - short-sighted, bad documentation, and usually has some pieces of code that are completely ADD - that is, they don't do anything, and I'm not sure why I put them there in the first place. As such, i usually prefer to blaze after I'm done my homework.

i had a final presentation this week for a Human Resources course. I convinced my group members to go for a beer on campus. One beer turned into three and soon i was running a nice buzz. I have never felt more comfortable presenting in front of 300 people. I had mischevious grin the whole time, i doubt anyone noticed. I am going to make it my ritual from now on...

Well I did it today and got a.......93%
I had good crowd interaction and good eye contact and good pronounciation...gooooo me!

I'm with you on that one, hash is really relaxing, overall body buzz. I've study after taking 2 hits and it was really welcoming!


Anyways looks like we got a lot of stoners on here lol. Everyone's smoking up and doign their work and hardly anyone drinking and doing it

Nursing papers are fucking boring and dry as hell to write. Getting stoned only makes it harder to do. UGH.
