Be Cool! I've seen heaven... and I'm not allowed there.

watching a History Chanel special on alchohol, it's history, how its made, social aspects, etc.

They just showed a Munich Beer Garden and THOSE HUGE MUGS OF FROSTY DELICIOUS BREW... (btw, I think it should be called "Garden of Eden" and that's where I want to be)

or plantations where Blue Agave Cactus lives and how its made into tequila....

or belvediere vodka highly-sophisticated distilling machine...

I have nearly fully stocked bar and half of case of beer.. Yet I'm not allowed to touch any of it.

Why you ask? erm... I'm on antibiotics for next 3 weeks!

*sob* *sob* *sob*

help me through these difficult moments, o wise C0Re

I'm curious I've seen those giant Steins at Octoberfest, anyone from Germany able to tell me how much one of them actually holds?

well, they said that waiter carrying fully loaded (12 mugs) is carrying 63Lbs.

5.25Lbs/mug, less the weight of the mug iteslf... (say 2 lbs) - you do the math. I estimate 1.5L

Nothing kills germs like alcohol. So why do you need anti-biotics again?

I did the math!

About 1.5 Litres. So about 4.4 Beers. Thats an awful lot!

*cough* YOU DID THE MATH? *cough*

I can take 2 in one shot (I think).

If you got history channel - tune in, you can still catch glimpse of this wonderful art - beer brewing!

I had no idea that beer was made back in ancient egypt (about 6000 years ago!!!!!!!!!) and spread to europe from there!!!! I thought that all those german/european breweries writing "since 1425" or "bavarian purity law" - I thought it was actually all marketing crap. Who knew that it was actually true! Wow

Those beautiful suds are calling me!

don't tempt me, you cruel cruel person you! perhaps 1 little bottle of beer won't hurt, would it?

...so I did a research:

Q Do Alcohol and Antibiotics Mix?
Does drinking while taking antibiotics lessen the effect of the medication?
A Answer (Published 4/9/2004)

A widespread myth holds that you shouldn't drink alcohol while taking antibiotics, but in fact, drinking doesn't lessen the effects of the drugs. However, alcohol can lower your general energy and delay your recovery so it is best to minimize drinking until you've finished the prescribed course of antibiotic treatment. (Beyond that, chronic liver damage from excessive alcohol consumption can affect the metabolism and toxicity of antibiotics.)

a person or entity who invents an antibiotic that safely delivers medication in a form of an alchoholic beverage in my book is worthy of the Nobel Prize.

btw. I can't believe they listed Bud as one of the beers. ewwwwwwwww. that's not beer - it's water!

Never drank it.
I only drink Grey Goose Orange or Grey Goose plain (and only mixed with Red Bull + Grand Mariner).

When I drink vodka alone, I drink Nemiroff honey or Nemiroff Pepper Ghorilka

The only "big" american brewery that I consider very good is Yengling. That's what I drink 90% of the time. When I go for fancy brews I try to support local small breweries or some odd stuff. My goal is to try as many beers as I possibly can in my life.

I also dig Baltika 9 - GOOOOOOOOOOOD SHIT!

nemiroff honey is good too. never had the pepper one though.

you should try the 3 i mentioned. effen is smoother than grey goose from my and others i know opinions. i have introduced a few people to it who are grey goose fans too and they end up switching. russkiy standart is an actual russian vodka. imported straight from russia. it JUST started getting sold in the states in mass quantities about 6 or 7 months ago.

Buy a watermelon. Cut a hole in it. Stick open bottle (upside down) into hole. Leave sit overnight.

Vitamin C + Everclear = Eternal Health.

Seriously, I'm gonna patent that shit.
