So I bought my first (non local) item off ebay.
I bought a cdj-800 mk1 off ebay. I'm waiting for the guy to mail me back the shipping quotes.
Auction ended at 495 CDN $$ for the cdj.
I hope this pulls through..., then I'll have my 2 cdj's and 2 turntables and I'll be set!!
But about 50 tunes off beatport the other day, and am In the process of 'labeling the cds'
Finally I'll have to build a final table for the setup (equipment)
But I'll stay on topic and see how this 'shipment/purchase' goes...wish me luck! (I particularily dislike scammers)

nice, i know how it feels like.. 10 days ago i bidded on 2xcdj800s, 1 behringer djx700 (i know its crap), 1 road ready flight case (for the mixer and the cdjs), 2x stands for the cdjs .. all this in one auction for almost $1000.. its reaching today

i got ripped off on ebay once. but we found out the guys phone number and kept calling him at 4 in the morning every night untill he sent the money back

I know the feeling, i just got a crazy deal on some two cdj 1000's mk1's and a brand new never opened djm 500 all off of ebay

The cheap mixer may be useful for something like output selection from a multi-channel device. I had my computer hooked up to my Nuo4 before I got my CDJs; had three outputs from the computer, and I could select what I wanted to listen to easily, especially toggle between headphones and speakers.
The actual functionality (with the Behringer) may be hit or miss, but at least you'll have a nice paperweight if you need it (or boat anchor, take your pick). Or, you could just use it to make a music video (AvB - Shivers; terrible video, but take a closer look at that mixer XD).
BTW, does anyone ahve any advice for me? I'm still waiting for the shipping quote from him. Basically he lives in Florida, I live in Toronto (Canada)

I'm getting worried...does anyone have any tips, or obvious things I should do/not do..to ensure that everything goes smoothly? Should he ship UPS/US Post?
