Drunk All Aboard The FAMOUS BBQ EXPRESS

I had to "express" my appreciation & admiration for this place located at 385 Queen Street West (East of Spadina south side). If you haven't tried it I strongly recommend you do. Their portions are quite big so go there if you are extremely hungry. Their main dish (the chicken breast dinner) comes with a massive bbq'd chicken breast (spicy or regular), rice & fries, 3 salads (garden, coleslaw, pasta) with (tzatziki sauce or for you white folks "garlic sauce"). I'm telling you its so good your mouth will salivate just looking at it.

So, if you are ever in the area and find yourself quite hungry and have $10.25 in your pocket make your way in there. You wont regret it. Also, the staff there are really nice & friendly.

REVIEWS

Owner and workers are very friendly. The food there is amazing especially the BBQ Ribs and the Boulgogi (spelling).

I recommend this place.

-----

This is the place to go if you want no-frills, good BBQ with huge portions and a not-so-huge price.

The guys working there have a great attitude and are friendly, and they usually have daily specials like BBQ pork and lasagne which are amazing.

There are so few of these places left these days, especially in the downtown core.

The only downside is the atmosphere. The place is poorly-ventilated so expect to come out smelling like the food. Get it to go and avoid this! There is also a line-up around lunch time, so get there early or late. Another option is to order ahead by phone for pick up.

Overall, highly recommended!

Great food, good price

I work by there, and that place is a staple for me.

My other recos around there are: Sushi Time, Burrito Boyz, Fresh, Quick Pita.

The owner is super cool @ BBQ Express, I forget his name, all I know he is Korean and huge.

The food isn't extraordinary but hes really friendly, and enough for me to give him my money.

Peter and Richmond in a basement beside a tattoo parlor on the SW corner.

There's one on Adelaide also, near the club that shut down called Kabin near Duncan, I think.

I absolutely love BBQ. Remember: LONG & LOW! LONG & LOW!

I want a Traeger wood pellet grill/BBQ/smoker. They are by far the BEST piece of equipment you can buy.

http://www.traegerindustries.com/

Wooden pellets are the way to go. The are smoldered to create real, authentic and natural charcoal. You can vary the wood to impart various flavors into what you're cooking.

The big benefit of the Traeger is that not only can you smoke (warm smoke, long cooking time), but you can BBQ (low heat, long cooking time) and grill (high heat, short cooking time). Hell you can even bake on a Traeger.

I think BBQs at Spadina and Harbord have the best BBQ sauce that has ever touched a chicken.

All I know is that the chicken sauce from Swiss Chalet is naaaaaaaaaaaastyyy!!!

I get all my body jewelry made custom at this place called Tat-a-rama...dunno if I mentioned it before because I do remember you going on about plugs...there's two locations but I've gone to the one in Etobicoke...their # is 416-234-1144. I'm quite happy about them because I essentiallly told them exactly what I want and how I want it and they were able to do it for me.
