-- Just Be
Just Be
for the first time, i heard the whole album today without interruptions from start to finish, and i for some reason was left almost speechless.
what a stroke of genius this album is, almost every minute of it
i can't think of another album other than 'the fat of the land' which left me feeling this way. sure i ve heard all the songs on 'just be' over and over, but never at a stretch and it just made me realise what a magnificent piece of work it actually is.
regarding the analogy with the prodigy, 'just be' and 'elements of life' are akin to the gap between 'the fat of the land' and 'always outnumbered never outgunned' with respect to overally music quality.
i was waiting for both albums with so much fervor and they failed to live up to my expectations. (the next prodigy album is due in a few months though)
i m mumbling a bit, but im really amazed at the thought process that went behind the making of 'just be' . absolute class. i wont get into the whole debate of him selling out or becoming commercialised but 'elements of life' was a let-downer, and much much MUCH more so because of what a legacy 'just be' will 'always be'.
I personally don't really like Tiesto's stuff but anyway shouldnt this be in the CD reviews section?
its a good album, my personal favourite is "Parade Of The Athletes" but im reaaly starting to dig elements of life now!
Just Be was laughingly bad.
I was a fan of Tiesto at the time, this CD was definitely the starty of my dislike for him. horrid horrid horrid.
i really dont get it... everyone says they hate Just Be but just LOOOOVE In My Memory...
i honestly dont get it
Just Be is a great album and has really good songs on there.... do people just hate it just because thats when he started to "sell out"?
Just be is a verry good album, my favorite track is "walking on clouds"

In My Memory is hardly brilliant either, but it has enough highlights (and a strong remix disc in the UK) to make it listenable. Just Be was terribly mediocre by comparison- I simply never have the urge to play it. That has fuck all to do with Tiesto "selling out", it's a simple statement of fact. I never play Parade of the Athletes either.
Beyond terrible

Forever today, Nyana and Adagio for Strings were the only three tracks I liked in that album. I don't understand how Traffic and Love Comes Again became such big hits.
I thought they were pretty shit.
it's horrible. the production quality of the entire album is so low it's shocking. It all sounds so amateurish.
other than nyana its pretty shit
Some good tracks on that album .
I think sweet misery should get remixed , excellent track !
