* * * New Pioneer DMP-555! :d * * *
just visted the Pioneer website yesterday and saw their new upcoming CD player..:

It will probably be about US$100-200 more than the CDJ-1000's when it comes out, but thats still heavey it my pocket..
It can play MP3's burnt onto CD-R's or MP3's from an SD (?) card. But it says down the bottom that only a 16mb SD card is supplied?!?!?! If there isn't any SD card bigger, i think the SD would be quite useless. And normal wav CD's. Has many of the same features from the CDJ-1000, except that the digital scratch on it may be similar to those on the American DJ pro Scratch, Gemini CD-1800X, etc. (scratch is not as instant as CDJ-1000's). It also has the same kind of construction to these but more familiar, to the CDJ100's..
Quite good innovation by Pioneer.. but its still too damn expensive.. Here are more details:

What do you think about the new DMP-555?
u know what i think?
i think its a piece of sh*t
i mean ya ya it m8 have'em all fancy options and stuff?!?!
but what da hell is this
i dont wanna go to the DJ booth with 2 CD'z burned each 100 mp3
that sucks!!!!...
i think piooner's next idea will be builiding a robat that will replace human in djing...
this is really wank, go buy the CDJ 100's (they rule)
Well, DJ-Energy, I agree with you on some of the things.
Anyway, this thing is totally unnecessary, every serious DJ Can do just fine with a pair of the Pioneer CDJ-100S players.
its a shame to waste your money on this thing simply because you will not use it fully.
A lot of things are useless like the 3 band isolator, mixers have those, or use the rotary, whichever.
All you really need for a cd player is: output, pitch slider, cue/play, stop, pause, on, off and track selection
Looks cool but...
Let's say I go to dj with 3 mp3cds wich have 100 tracks each.
what if I want to mix 2 songs from the same cd?
And please don't tell me "choose another track" This is why I believe mp3cdjs are useless... I had the same when I went to dj with CDr (about 10 tracks each).
SO AFTER ALL : 12"s RULE AND WILL RULE FOREVER!!!

Last time i checked they were gonna retail for $1500 US not $500 US
BUt anyway, i think it's bullshit and they are not worth the money...
Imagine mixing a incomplete mp3 file!
like there's only 2 minutes of the track or less!
