hey mate, reviewing as i listen.. nice vanguard in beginning, i love the heavy kick. 1:00 nice buildup of main lead. fucking love it when the kick comes in. 2:30 breakdown... nice leads.. i like the 2nd lead at around 2:50 works well. nice and groovy tune but very heavy at the same time. maybe add some open hats when the kick comes back in after the breakdown.. good job i like it!

8.5/10

Bidor

just downloaded this mate, listening now, liking this, sounds really techy good production, that bass sounds mint I think maybes that break goes on for a little to long? not to sure actually. I like the lead as well, nice original sounds in this.

Posted by TOR on Mar-18-2007 15:46:

I agree with dj_palm on the bass. The lack of grit may be caused by the heaviness of the kick, you should look into that. Overall though, it's a great track and perhaps even your finest production to date.
Good work.

Posted by richg101 on Mar-18-2007 18:04:

thanks for all the comments and suggestions guys

glad ya like it.

the bass was intentionally cut from the bass synth. i wanted to utilise the lows from the kick drum, to harness as much un interupted grunt from that as i could.

Posted by Lee Canning on Mar-19-2007 13:02:

i like the sound, definately the bass drum is huge, any tips on that big sound? but i do think it gets a bit repetitive in the middle, needs another breakdown imo. is it gonna be released at all?

Posted by richg101 on Mar-19-2007 14:00:

im not sure about release. i might clean it up a bit and change some of the textbook synths and see what happens.

im not really an expert on 'big sound' but all i will say is that the kick is comped to fuck. and i decided on a quieter overall mix to accomodate that big kick. also the kick does not have a bass synth running with it. all the lows are from the kick drum which was made up of lots of edited samples.

thanks for checkin it

This would work really well in a club...nice powerful synths & bassline, and i like the percs - theyve got a 'MIKE' touch hehe - really well done..good stuff Rich

tech

hey Rich,

like the track overall but it felt like it was missing a lead element... possibly vocals? i donno just felt like it missed something, even though i do like it as it is i feel like more could have happened, i do like the electro feel in there and percussion work.

Posted by richg101 on Mar-21-2007 19:03:

thanks guys

reffy - already on the big mans ftp.. too trancy for cle sessions i think..

Posted by Yohan on Mar-21-2007 20:23:

Heh. Very Marcel Woods esque tune.

Interesting idea. But too repetitive for a trance tune. Gets annoying really fast.
I think you need to add more variety.

Love Poundin' Sensation

here we go, nice snare.. typical gale.

ahh here we go!! thats what im talking about awesome kick man!

..and yet another WHOA moment. that lead that kicks in around 1:12 is so cool . just.. wow man.

break, nice playing with the attack, (or are you reversing it?) I do it alot to

high pad. brings a nice softer emotional tad to the track, while the WHOA lead still keeps it at a "hell yea!!" level.

nice rythm kicks in btw .

love it man !!!
