Doesn't sound particularly different from what Paul has been playing for the past few years. Ever since Reflections he's been playing this kind of tripe.

Posted by nefardec on Mar-17-2007 23:16:

yeah doesn't really sound much different than when I've seen him over th e past two years.

This + time of our lives + crush + for an angel + some huge squelchy "electro" trance + katana style hard track

has been the playlist mostly when i've seen him

I found it very hard to get good stage shots, I'll upload my pictures tomorrow.

Hes playing to an Irish crowd which is, mostly, utterly clueless to what EDM is. So Paul can get away with playing any old shite and the crowd is none the wiser. Plus 99% of the crowd are underage and so hopped up on pills they could be listening to a ships horn and would keep dancing.

Posted by CE Admin on Mar-17-2007 23:26:

I also have a 15 minute long video of more decent music from the night uploading, I'll post that too when it's done.

Suits the modern trance scene well!

That's very true and it bugs the life outta me, the fact that there's so many clueless pissheads in this country and DJ's know it, and so play this kinda muck to impress them.

Who suffers ? Me.

What track is that anyway? I fail to hear the difference between this and what the trancenerds call "proper".

Posted by CE Admin on Mar-17-2007 23:48:

That there in the video is cheese.

Nothing but you is genius.

actually Nothing but you is on the same level. funny that you slag cheese in one post and praise it in the next.

To me, it sounds like lyrics laid on top of Sean Tyas Track, only reason it sounds like cheese is I will bet the song has a native BPM of roughly 132, yet Paul has that shit jacked to 142+...

In regards to the song, it isn't cheese.

Too bad Hemstock & Jennings came up with it.

There's definitly a kiddy style music vocal in there, it sounds like something out of a Scooter song, the pitch is fine, that song wouldn't sound right down at the speeds you're talking about.

My full 15 minute video, enjoy.

Looks like a shit night all round really. In all fairness to him though, he is playing to a pretty dog shit crowd.

I'm also liking how this comment was ignored. You're spot on though.

Well genius.

Trance had become a dirty word. Thanks to Ian Van Dahl, Lasgo, Flip 'N' Fill and DJ Sammy, a generation of kids has grown up thinking trance is the shittiest music since country and western.
