What ever happen to your Highschool Friends?
All the people I know have amounted to nothing.
My close friends: lawyer, teacher, Navy Officer, RCMP Officer, insurance adjuster, engineer.
Well your lucky, maybe it the school I want to who knows. These people are working in general labour jobs making 12.00 an hour.
I think they still think it 1995.
Most of the girls from high school are either married, pregnant, or have a child/children. And the guys are fathers and/or husbands.
Edit: Ew, I had a grammatical error!!!
wow Katie! that's sad
I have only 1 friend from high school who's married with a daughter
the rest are finishing off undergrad., going or already in Masters
two of my highschool friends died already. sad
I can't believe I graduated high school 10 years ago
they're on facebook
I have no friends from high school. Seriously! High school was a fucked up/picked on/abyssmally screwy time for me.
But don't feel bad for me. I'm pretty sure I am doing better than most of the assholes I went to school with

close friends, ummm, 1 is a mechanic and goes to school, other is a plumber and is doing an apprentice thing, and the others don't do much, they work sometimes and some how have money.
other friends from high school dropped out and became construction workers.
and other friends go to school and work part time.
me, done college about 2 years ago and been working full time since.
hmmm, seems like i'm doing the best out of all of them.
ok my best friend is married and has a good job at rogers. My other friend has a Master, one friend has his own business. But these are the lucky ones. The rest I think hang out at the corner next to the coffee time.
One has become a regular collumnist in the Montreal Gazette newspaper, one committed suicide, one is a teacher, the grade 8 girl that kept pinching my ass and coming on to me (I was in grade 11) turned out to be a 'dancer' (champagne roomed me for free when I recognized her in a Montreal strip club 10 years later).
And the funniest part... the most popular guy in school turned out to be a plumber.
One:
-tried to be in a porno
-has a 2-3 year old (is 20 right now)
-has a 5yr old or something (age 20 right now)
-in the army
the others all died and went to hell
I don't talk to any of my highschool friends anymore, and I havent for the last couple of years.
Don't see why its so sad that some are married and have children? Lol - thats a messed up viewpoint, right there.
Most of mine are working, or still in school doing extended degrees.
And furthermore - whats wrong with the guy being a plumber? Probably makes more than most of the office people you know, lol. Especially if he has his own business.

A few I still keep in touch with.
Other seem to catch marriage-itis which only solidifies the fact that the Earth is indeed flat, as they appear to drop off the end of it...
...other still can go to the 'here be dragons' area and get eaten for all I care...
My high school friends are:
Still dating the same guy/girl prob cause there jus plain lazy.
Still living at home having Mom do there laundry with no plans of going anywhere
Still drinking at the same bars we used to bring out fake ID's to when we we're 17/18.
Still smoking huge amounts of weed in there garages on Friday nights.
For some wild reason I just believed there was more to life than the above. I must be fukin crazy or sumthin

lets see my three close friend i keep in touch...
-one going to Humber for business management while working,
-works at a high end stereo equipment store where they do set ups for rich people who are into $20,000 Macintosh amps.
-another is a up and coming D'n'B DJ/producer/promoter in the city
-my best friend frustates me he's smart and talented (he can play and write music for guitar and trumpet) but he's lazy, he sells and trades rare records for ridiculous amounts of money. I guess i can't knock it b/c its an easy effective means of getting cash. I'm so jealous musically gifted ppl.
- my most succesful friend works with his dad restoring classic British cars
-myself i'm a cook for the Holiday Inn empire where im just a number, but it pays well and i'm up for Sous chef position which i WILL get. Sous chef is second in command after the executive chef in the hospitality industry if anyone's wondering.
My other 3 friends either live with parents, have had kids, or still sell pot to high schoolers from their parents house.
I saw photos of the reunion which I couldn't attend and my gosh... what happened to those pretty thin popular girls?!?! Most of them got FAT!!! It's one thing to gain a few pounds as a natural age process when a woman's metabolism decreases but we're talking about double chins here! These are the same girls that used to never leave home without makeup and always had their hair done up... perhaps they finally stopped hiding under their masks and learned to love themselves or they got married and just totally let themselves go.
