Shame / Disagreement tsk tsk Tiesto

Maybe this has been posted?? I dunno.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q5zWed1VBz0

Listen to Tiesto's answer when he's asked who he'd like to play back to back with at a party!

I'm sure this is not surprising to some people... but he's always been my idol.. and this is why I don't care to much for dj personalities... it taints the music.

Just play the fucking music man!

Um...correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't you the one that's wearing a shirt that says "TIESTO" on the front of the shirt you're wearing in your avatar?

Not the same shirt.

Dunno

Who cares. its personal preference. maybe its annoying to him to do the back to back thing (i assume he means battling, and not like having an opening or closing dj ).

nothing un-understandable about that. dont see why this should be a big deal if its his personal preference to not wanna do it.

im sure both can be fun, or one less fun than the other depending on what you enjoy about DJing and how you do it.

Not to mention immediately after he openly admits that he's egotistical

I partied in clubs in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv in '90, I had a total blast (um... no pun intended). In Lebanon, the scene was pretty dead (Ooops, I did it again).

Yes i am...what can i say, i still like the guy. he may have become a bit of a douche but you still gotta give him credit for having some serious music

"serious music", not anymore, I truly don't think there will even be one hit from his new album. Personally i think his "serious music" days are long gone.

Agree. His more "serious" music days are behind him... but off hisnew album.. He's a Pirate and Dance 4 Life are already hits!!

True.. but there's better ways to go about it rather than come right out and tell everyone he won't because he's an egoist!!
I still love the guy to death for everything he's done, but this really does show his true colours... possibly

definately. He even went on to say that hes a bit of an egoist with regard to sharing the limelight with another dj...nothing wrong with being upfront about ur preference

that reporter is a moron.

I wouldn't go as far a calling them hits, nothing comes close to the "hits" from his last albums, those were truly hits, those songs still get played today and I think will for years to come. Both dace4life and he's a pirate, well, maybe its just me but I think they are already being forgotten. I think Dance 4 Life is the worst single he ever put out, its catchy maybe but it's really got no soul in my eyes, and he's a pirate is just ok nothing more.

not sure what the issue is

he was honest and admitted he has an ego and likes to spin alone...i find it refreshing...would we respect him more if he lied and gave a false answer?

I would respect him more if he just shut up and spun records like a good little corporate doll.

Posted by Lightshow on Mar-19-2007 15:59:

well yeah, by "serious music" i meant his old stuff that made me like him so much, but all his new crap just doesnt do it for me...its like it has no soul, and after the shit he pulled at the Docks in december shows that he really has forgotten about the music and has become a commercial nightmare.

Posted by geroin on Mar-19-2007 16:01:

lightshow shut up you were first in line at the docks
